Hey there folks, I'm stuck in Williams Lake for about aa week or so, onn work of course. So far, I've spent a week up here and I'm going stir crazy... so... what (or who? lol) is fun to do up here? Anyone know of anything fun or exciting?

So far I've had someone suggest the Overlander, though that place looked a little rough... and olivers wasn't bad, though I'm getting sick of restraunts (although the girls at BP are decent looking)...

ideas anyone?

I stayed at the Sandman there about a year ago and saw an ad for massage in the local paper. I called the lady and headed out towards Dog Creek about
5 mins up past the sawmills.
She gave a very thorough massage and finished with a fine hand release. I remember it well because I backed one wheel into the ditch in from of her place and had to have someone give me a tug out of there. She said she was moving to Calgary but who knows. Anyway check the local papers.

There was also a lady on Black Orchid's website in PG that worked out of Quesnel. She came to my suite at the Sandman in Quesnel a couple years ago for some good clean fun in the huge jacuzzi in the room.

Sorry but I can't remember names in either place.

You should be able to find some native action at the Lakeview I'd think...

Native action? Now there's a scary thought...lol!

Or do you just mean local action? :| Damn, I'm getting squirrly here! I was warned to stay away from a local bar called the Boot, whatever that is...

papers eh? I happen to have a copy of the weekender right here... let's see what we have: 1) AA meetings, 2) gay& lesbian dance, 3) crisis counselling. Hmmmmm...I think I'll pass... is there a better paper around? Or is this the only local paper?

Thanks for the tips! If anyone else has anything, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I guess there really is nothing to do up here if you don't drink much, do drugs, own a sled, or a 4x4.

The Lakeview has been gone for years {fire}. The Boot advice was smart advice as it is a nasty hole and unless you're seriously desperate for a good gumming, followed by a life of an incurable disease, and then given a good beating as you leave, I would highly recommend you STAY AWAY from the BOOT! The hOe-V might be a place to look but younger crowd most of the time and it can get rough but no different than most of the bars in the puddle. I have not checked on info I just got yesterday but apparently, a SP form Quesnel, Chelsea, who advertises in the Advisor paper, makes trips to Williams Lake. Maybe someone else has some info.

Got to love it during Stampede. One long party, especially down at Squaw Hall. I remember when the jail used to get to full of drunks and they would start loading up the cattle cars. When they were full, they where shunted out to 10 Mile Flat, the doors were opened and everybody walked home when they finally sobered up.:D

Squaw hall? Be about thigh high went they demolished that place in '73! SOme pretty funny stories out of there. Locals stil remember drinking outside the walls and heaving their empties over the wall and waiting for the yell from the dance floor. Not to many reminders around, just memories of a place that was brought about by man's prejudice behaviours. Now if ya don't have anymore stories, have any ideas on other forms of entertainment in the puddle?
