I am totally joking!!! I jusy heard about this today, sorry if it is old news.

Mega-jackpot winner sticking with old friends

Applause erupted as Harry Black strolled past TV cameras, flashbulbs and microphones into the B.C. Lottery Corporation foyer Tuesday to collect his massive Lotto 6/49 prize.

Dressed in a leather coat and jeans, the 66-year-old cement mixer and film crew worker managed to keep a smile from his face as he followed a man to the spot where he would be given more than $31 million.

BCLC vice-president of Lottery Gaming Kevin Gass produced two oversized novelty cheques made out to Black for $15.8 million each.

“Wow,” said Black upon being handed the cheques.

“Any toys you want to buy?” asked a reporter.

“I’ve already got enough toys,” he said. “I worked hard for them, maybe now I’ll have time to use them.”

Black shares the largest jackpot in Canadian history after buying two identical tickets for the same $63 million draw in April, meaning he held half of the four winners.

It’s all part of his system, which largely involves playing the same numbers for 35 years.

He said he has no family, but don’t even think about becoming his buddy in hopes of collecting some cash.

“I have five friends,” said Black. “I don’t need anymore.”

The Surrey resident told reporters he’d waited so long to collect the dough because of the stress of finding people to help him manage it, and to decide what he would do with the winnings.

For now, Black’s settled on a vacation before perhaps going to “live under a palm tree,” but has ruled out remaining in Surrey.

“The road repairs are so bad they’ve slowly destroyed the dashboard on one of my restored cars — it all rattles,” he said. “I’m going to go somewhere they know how to repair roads.”

:high5: Awesome, buddy...have a Margarita on the beach for all us up here!

When the jackpots got big me usta play the same sets of no.twice or more too. Everone at work usta laugh at me
I gave up that habit. Nice to see a guy having faith in his picks

He seems to have gone about it pretty logical.

1. Get good financial advisor
2. Determine who his "real" friends are
3. Pick up the check &
4. Get the hell outta dodge!
