HDTV (again)

OK I am liking the Sony LCD Rear Projection.

Either the 42 or 50 inch.

You can get them with or with out a DCR (Digital Cable Ready) feature.

As I am hooking up to HDPVR Sat system I am not sure I need the DCR feature.

But one salesman told me the DCR ready models are this years and the other ones are last years models. He says this years LCD is better than last years?

Also the 50 comes with a tuner that picks up a signal with an antenna (rabbit ears), that is useless in Canada at the moment, but costs you $$$ more.

Thoughts???????????

Sounds to me like you have 2 choices:

Go up to the store and buy what ever looks good.

or

Start googling reviews and read...read....read.

Option 2 is what I do. Far as I'm concerned the salesman is only there to scratch my ass if it gets itchy.

I will add my 2 cents to this 5 dollar discussion and even that will stretch my knowledge to the limit.

I have a 50" HDTV with satellite. I was told by my provider that Over The Air HDTV can be picked up with a small device that clips onto the satellite dish. It is suppose to be available in the next month or two.
