Edmonton police are on the lookout for a female escort who went missing in the city Sunday night.

20-year-old Chantel Brittnay Robertson was last seen being dropped off at a client's home at around 2:30 Saturday morning. This was on 98 Street and 80 Avenue.

Robertson did not show up to be picked up afterwards, and she hasn't been heard from since. She has not been in contact with her family, which they say is very unusual.

Robertson is described as 5'2", 125 lbs, with dirty blonde/light brown shoulder-length hair, and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black jeans, black boots, a white shirt, and was carrying a purse.

Project Kare has been notified but EPS is leading the investigation at this time. Anyone with information on Roberston's whereabouts should contact Edmonton Police.

Just saw her today. On the news. Being taken out to a coroner van.

So sad....

I would really like to know what went wrong. Betting it was on the agencies side. If you knew the owners of the agencies here, you would agree with me.

You don't drop off a girl and leave. You stay until you are 110% sure she is comfortable and ok.

This girl was one of my friends here. She was amazing and a really nice girl.

Its so sad that people could do this to someone like her.

What i want to know is where the fuck was her driver??? If she didnt come out when she was supposed to, either call the cops or go kick in the fucking door.

That driver should have his ass handed to him.

This could have been prevented.

This is so sad on so many levels.

20 Years old with her whole life ahead of her and some sicko has to end it.

Heartbreaking honestly, she was a beautiful young lady.

And yes, where the hell was her driver?

Hell even some of the girls off of the chat lines have drivers for frick sakes!

Also wonder if her age could have played a role. The older girls generally can read clients better than the younger ones. Also, most agencies are reluctant to school the girls on proper procedures due to the laws.

I was always of the school of thought that the driver drops the girl off, the girl negotiates, and calls the driver right back letting him know if the call is ok, and how long she will be in. Then the driver should wait....and give a time call when she is done.

But, some agencies just drop off the girl whilst the driver merrily goes on other calls. Leaving the girl all alone...and completely vulnerable. A client who knows a driver sitting outside is there will definitely be deterred from doing anything wrong.

From what I heard on the news, there *may* be more than one person involved. And the smart girls never go on calls if there is more than one person in the room/apt/house etc.

Either way, it is tragic. I would love to know what agency it is, and their liability in this. I know if that was my friend, daughter, cousin....the agency would have problems. Although most agency owners are broke schmucks that don't have 2 nickles to rub together.

How much protection do drivers really give though? Correct me if I'm wrong, but after the girl gets dropped off, she calls the driver once to let him know everything's ok and how long she's going to be, and once he's got the green light to go, he can go and do whatever he wants until check-in time.

The guy could have booked a two- or three-hour session (hell, why not all night? She's not going to see the money anyway) and had all kinds of time.

Yes it's tragic, but I question how much of a difference a driver really makes.

If you saw most drivers, well, let's just say physically they are not that much of a presence.

Most agencies, the drivers will wait unless they are sent on another call. Then the girl is alone for a period of time. Chances are client and girl won't even know, but still...

The best way is to have the driver be there the whole time. But a busy agency, this is difficult if they don't have enough drivers.

She was young, too. And young girls can be a real problem simply because of lack of experience. They just can't read a situation. It's sad because most of these girls get thrown right into the fire with zero coaching. The agencies won't do it because of the prostitution, living off the avails etc. laws....

Honestly, this is just heart-breaking to hear.

hi guys,

may she rest in peace. whether the driver was late or not doesnt make a difference. maybe he could've heard her screams but i doubt it since his music is always loud. she died before her 1/2hr was up anyway

Just heard on CHED that a 24 year-old man (if you can call him a "man") has been arrested & charged with First Degree Murder & offering an indignity to a Human Body. Apparently they got a search warrant and found her buried in the backyard.

All I can say on this is...wow. I really can't believe this. And as everyone else has asked, where the hell was the driver?

This poor girl didn't have a chance.

this just tears one's heart out. this young lady was trying to make a living and doing what she could to provide good value to her clients.

then some jerk off comes out of the woodwork and treats her like she was nothing...with help from another worthless asshole it seems. we will probably read in the papers how these guys are known to police, have a history of proving their manhood by beating up on women, are showing remorse, the girl was asking for it...you know she was an escort..she knew the risks.., they were high on drugs and did not mean to, or really know what they were doing, get credit for time served, will be out in 1/3 of the time sentenced..if they are sentenced at all...it just fucken sickens me.

these "men" should be castrated, then served up to every bubba serving time. they should not get to see another day outside the walls of a prison.

i cannot understand how anyone can willingly take the life of another, or watch while someone else does... let alone beat someone to death with their hands or with some object held in their hands. gutless pricks....i just do not have the words to depict my disgust for these bastards... and feelings of remorse for this young, helpless, beautiful victim.

i can't reveal details but from wat i was told i think this was premeditated as the escort he called for an escort a week before. maybe he wanted to, but didnt have the courage the first time.
why cant they have the death penalty here? times like this i hate canada's laws

This re-enforces my belief that incalls are a better idea for SPs. I know most of them will have a bodyguard or a friend in the next hotel room in case something goes wrong.

I just hope they caught the bastard this time. Too many SP deaths are unresolved around these parts.

yea, how true. neighbors heard screaming but didnt pay attention to it. i'm a paranoid person and always check when i hear loud bangs etc. i know she would have fought her way out. she had a black belt in some martial arts.
