Have You Ever Been PM'd By An SP?

I have recently heard from a few guys that an SP or SP's have come on the boards and PM the guys who are online. I don't know if it was on this board or another board, and I don't know which SP or SP's. I was just told that there is an SP or SP's who watch who is online and they PM them saying they are available.

Sounds like desperate attempts to try and get clients. I don't know that I could just randomly PM guys online and say "Hey pick me!" It might be different if they are already clients of yours and your letting them know your in town. Having the guys PM you is one thing, but to go randomly PMing guys in hope of making a buck seems desperate.

Happened to me a few times about 2 weeks ago. I responded to one just to see what would happen, saying, "great, would love to meet you...who are you?". Never heard back.

I don't see what the harm would be.

I suppose that my thoughts are that these ladies are working hard (and smart) as opposed to being "desperate". I'd guess that there aren't very many ladies out there that are so busy that they have no free time to solicite clients.

Guys are signed on the site at a given time because they are thinking about sex, sps and are probably horny too. Seems like a good marketing plan to me.

If I'm not interested I'd just reply saying just that. No big deal.

I guess one of the problems I have with it is that girls pay to advertise, and there are some apparently flying under the radar by PMing guys. It's not fair for the girls that are upfront and pay for the right to advertise. If it was a free board, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I have been PM'd by someone who I had seen a few times in the past, but not necessarily to see if I would come by or set up an appointment. And it was not done as a result of me being on Perb.

I understand your point, but if it is someone you know, then I don't think you can compare it to just random attempts to lure you in by an unpaid provider.

I get pm'd in response to ones I sent. The only times I got actively solicited (so to speak!), are the few times I am in chat. If a gal is individually pm'ing people to drum up business rather than pay an advertising fee, that strikes me as a very time intensive process!

I've never recieved a PM from an SP where I haven't made some form of initial contact with them. But I do tend to surf the forums in stealth mode, so nobody would see me on any active users lists to address the first post.

Only when I've PM'ed the SP in question or responded to a thread on the SP was involved with. Never been Pm'ed just for being loggeed in.

I never get Pm's from Sp's unless I send them a pm. I don't see a big deal if they Pm people. It wouldn't bother me for the simple reason that it's a good way to make someone comfortable with each other IMHO.


Either way I don't see it being an issue.

After all people ----what kind of board are well all on and for what reason!!??
