Jamie Foxx as you may know made what is termed "an insensitive remark" towards Bruce Jenner at a recent awards show. Now on a scale with the funniest thing I have ever heard being a 10, this joke maybe is a low 3 or 4. My problem is the bombasting Foxx is taking on twitter and social media for this meh joke towards Jenner. Of course all the anonymous ass clowns with their fake twitter accounts, fake FB accounts can lay an ass whooping on Foxx because they can.
I was thinking back to the days of excellent prose with witty satire through the ages. Even Shakespeare would probably have had some remarks about Jenner if this had happened back in time. Certainly the Rat Pack with Sinatra, Martin & Sammy Davis Jr would have had a lot to say about this type of gender transformation. Think Mad Men and you see where I am going with this one.
Personally, I don't have a problem with gender transformation and actually have worked on a number of projects in my industry with two people going through the transformation. It's one of those things that I have been around, felt sympathetic towards them when their meds were playing havoc with their emotions etc. So, No, I do not have any ill feelings towards anybody including transgendered people.
I am becoming more and more less tolerant of the people who will go after a comedian for making an off colour joke. Geezuz, is this is what our society has become that we can not even find humour in the things that are right in front of us?
