does anyone know about laser eye surgery? i once heard it messes with your night vison. i asked a friend who got it done and he replied "you cant see shit at night anyways." needless to say he wasnt much help.

good luck Kimmy!

p.s. hopefully Kimmy has some glasses that dont mess with her new found vison. Hot chicks with glasses are a total turn on!

had it done 3 years ago, corrected stigmatism. Now have 15/20 - what most people see at 15 feet, I see from 20. The procedure was quick and painless, most discomfort was putting on the thing that holds your eyes open. minimum 3 days to recover as the cover grows back over your eye (they burn it off to do correction - but don't warn you about the smell until the last minute). They revoke your licensce for minimum 3 days. After procedure I walked out of the room, though world very blurry. Feels kind of gritty as eye heals, and of course no rubbing. VERY light sensitive - spent 3 days in a blackened room with no TV or other lights. Sunglasses a must. They provide a mild pain killer and also drops to keep eyes lubricated and help assist healing. No negative effects on day or night vision, best $3000 I ever spent. Of couse with everything your result may differ. Do your research and be sure you are comfortable with the risk / reward. Good luck.

van city baby!
mine was done by a sergion named Dr. King,at lasic MD downtown- i guess hes done more than 25000 procedures, for his age thats alot. For my sergery, i only had one eye done, so it was $1200 but if i had both done they said it would be the same price. I have 20/20 now which they said wasnt likely fopr the degree of stigmatism i had, so yay!, laser was on my eye for 15 seconds, they didnt warn me or tell me when they were doing it , they just layed me back and stuck this cutter on my eye which cut the flap, than lasered.sat in a dark room for an hour waiting for my ride, after half an hour they came in to ask me 4 times where my ride was. For 1200 dollars i would expect i could stay in the dark room for as long as i wanted after sergery , guess theres a time limit. Had to wear sunglasses they provide for 5 days, ane eye patch when i sleep, and eye drops for 3 months.Wasnt supposed to watch t.v, be around smoke, or drink for 48 hours. I did all of the above, so at my morning after visit i was given a thick gel to put in my eye at night which makes my vision very blurry. Good money spent to see better. Theres no price for a good setta eye balls! After sergery Dr. KIng commented that my sergery was a success, than winked at me and left! Thank you DR KIng;)

Shill! :D
Just kidding, Kimmy. Glad the operation was a success. I had it done in 2001 and despite some scary initial complications I am glad I did it and have been happy with the results (not perfectly 20-20 but close) and knowing what I know now I would still do it all over were I to go back in time.

Let me know if you need some extra "gel" in your eye. ;)

Me too

I had laser surgery last November. Cost me $3,000 but it was worth every penny. London Eye Care was the place and they don't use scalpels only a laser, but they also prepare you well. Mine was a particularly difficult situation in that apart from being half blind -9 in one eye, I also have big pupils, which strangely enough present a problem because it increases the risk of blurry night vision. It's not perfect cause I do have blurry night vision but despite that it's damn near a miracle.
