This is a description and an experience with a man who is quite responsive when it comes to texting. He is very polite at first and is no dentist but mentions it so woman think he is generous and a polite professional. He lives in Cloverdale or Surrey.

He makes appointments (he made 4 and canceled all but one) and then asked for other specific activities after he has booked as a way to cancel or not show up if the SP is not vulnerable enough to follow through with his requests. He seems to search for the needy or the vulnerable types of woman out there. I could sense this by his actions and responses to me. He was also very polite when I first met him, but he changed behaving almost psychotic in characteristics after I met him.

I had to report him to the police for harassment after he made an appointment yesterday morning, and canceled because I would not perform unprotected sex; he harassed me using a variety of fake numbers by text. With every text enquiry, and then no call for further information after I had requested a call, the texts from quite a few different new numbers who had never texted me prior to his threat had given up. I reported his number along with possible other numbers associated with him because he threatened me to expect many texts all day.

This texting via different numbers is a good example why it is important not to make bookings strictly by text. It's always a good idea to get a voice call to pick up on a *sense* for the person and the character and listen to intuition. I will also inform those who do not know, that a phone number can be created, and used for voice calls, but not for texts. So it's a good idea to make sure the text number has voice calls, and matches the number of the one who is texting. Yes, it is really complicated.

I am sure many of you will pick up on the one individual in the description, but contact me via pm for the number/s , ladies.

Do whatever that works for you. It takes experience and learning from mistakes to gain those instincts to avoid the creeps out there. For me text-only booking works best, it cuts out time wasters and chatty phone sex creepers...I'm incredibly naive and introverted so its easy to trick me with a great phone manner. And I'll never understand those creepers out there, as you can see by my join date I've been at this for some time, and I have the same old weirdos still contacting me til this day but they all end up in the spam box!

Hi Caramel :)

I agree with you highly; whatever works is the best choice and trial and error is the best teacher; there are a lot of phone sex creeps as well  as texty time wasters. I set up appointments via text because its fast, although I ask to receive a voice call just to sense them; the written and spoken word are two completely different ways of expression, so it's great to identify the true character through voice and pick up on characteristics that could have been pretence in the written word. I have always made my analysis that way and have not yet been sorry.

I am very new on the perb so I will prepare for what you described lol and nice to meet you, Caramel

:) best regards,

Mya

I have had random calls and texts from multiple numbers ever since I made negative reviews of a local Winnipeg girl. Every time I answer the phone they hang-up and I am getting text messages from 4 different area codes. Is there anything I can do to stop this other than changing my number???

Wpg: block their numbers. I have an iPhone so don't know how it works with others. Also, that's a form of harassment so you could take it to the police as Mya did.

Some people's children.....
I have a Galaxy. Samsung has a built in "add to spam numbers" feature. Unfortunately, unless you remember to save those numbers to your SIM card, not just to the device, resetting your phone wipes the scam numbers list out. That's how a TWOT got past me to request a three day weekend in Whistler after burning me at least once from the number 604-340-****. (Ladies can PM for his digits and MO...)

I have blocked the numbers on my iphone that have called me so far and it seems to have eased up a little but still getting one a day or two and barely text messages now, thank you. As for the police, they said if the calls are blocked and or there's no threats of harm to ones self there's not much they can do for me.

Blacklists in the form of "Block Caller" on iPhone and "Add to Spam/Reject list" on Samsung are two beautiful things..

One of the biggest problems is these time wasters asking questions in various details and back and forth literally for 2 hrs then book then cancel! Or just grimy dirt messages like those infamous:
"do you have a quick blow job rate"
"80 fs 15 mins?"
"Bbfs? "
"Can you do a car date?"

Ridiculous! Unsafe! Sketchy!
That black list just keeps growing.

And add to that harassment texts?! What's the point on their side of things I just don't get it!

PS. Not to be confused with 'The Blacklist', great show :)

all the advice i can give is, it just takes years of experience...nowadays i can get a feel for someone within their very first text. I would say nowadays it works out about 95% of the time, most of the time my time and effort isn't wasted. I have been trained basically to weed out those kinds of conversations, theres always a pattern, I can tell where the conversation is headed to and I just end it immediately before it goes any further and I hear exactly what I'm expecting ! My spam/block list is probably much larger than my contact list

Unfortunately the calls started again after I posted that they were no longer happening. Someone reading this board is involved so at lunch yesterday I took a walk to portage place for the hard fix and changed my number. Peace and quite finally but no one I know has my new number now so I don't know what was worse. Life goes on!

Glad you found a fix, but are you sure that will solve the problem? Do they still have that "This number has been changed to...." message when you change phone numbers? I haven't changed my number in years, but it used to have an automatic recording for that for a week or two following the change before they release the number back to the pool.
