The day has arrived to wish fond farewell,
to a wonderful lady who made me feel swell.
A lucky young lad has taken her heart,
and smitten she was right from the start.
For the fortunate ones who are to attend,
please do take with you the wishes I send.
For you'll witness today a whole new beginning,
with Bobbi and Johnny on this day of their wedding.
I promised to send a card with a note,
with wishes and blessings and such that I wrote,
but I searched through the house and to my great distress,
I still can't believe I misplaced the address.
So you who are there to witness these vows,
please be so kind if your time will allow,
to post on this site this auspicious event,
and drop me a note to say how it went.
So I'm off to the pub to raise a tall glass,
to a fortunate man and a gorgeous young lass.
I still have her pictures, ( I peek once in a while )
I think back of those times with a warm fuzzy smile.
She was my first, we had some fun together,
I must mow drown my sorrow in the arms of another.
