hahaha it hasn't always been graceful, believe me. LOLAmazing story Charlee and my props to you for going through the fires of hell and making it out the other side. I've struggled with my own demons, made it through too, but not with the grace and success that you have. MY RESPECT

Support from others, AA helped a lot. LOTS of therapy. Learning to realize that I deserve better and my friends deserved a better version of me.Your story is very inspiring; thank you for sharing it with us. And good on you for your 3-year milestone!
Just curious, what works the best for you to stay on the wagon? Some people say support and someone to talk too. I’ve heard good things about al-anon. But it must take a lot of gritty self-discipline to just say no when the urge or opportunity presents itself. Wondering what sort of mental paradigms, routines, and rituals people have found effective to get past their temptations.
A divorced buddy hit rock bottom 5 yrs ago. Almost OD’d. His best friend dragged his drugged-up ass into rehab. He stuck with it. 5 yrs clean now. New GF, New Truck, New Fishing Rod, fresh lease on life. For him I know that having a kind woman in his life that loves him provided something worth living for, something to stay clean for. Maybe it’s about finding some kind of enduring purpose that anchors us, and reinforces a better path.
I'll make exceptions for two gorgeous women in the same bed.Aren’t we both too old for you? 🤔
