What are some different methods of removing the short and curly's? I have always settled for trimming. I have thought about shaving quite a few times but I always chicken out... that's a tender spot ya know.

If you cover the area to be lasered in emla cream (topical anesthetic) 1 hr before the appointment (and keep it on... saran wrap and tape!!) it helps with the pain which kinda feels like a rubber band snap!! The tech will remove the cream for you before she gets started with the laser.
Laser only works on dark hair, so if you're a blond or a redhead then you'd best get out the clippers!

If you're paranoid about castrating yourself, buy some clippers and do your manscaping with one of the lowest blade guards. It's foolproof. When you become more daring take off the guard.
