Hair place downtown

This is common in Shanghai, Beijing and other Chinese cities, so maybe that's the source of this urban legend, if indeed it is one. They're called barbershop girls. They are very thinly veiled brothels, and most are only open in the evenings and early mornings. The girls sit around in the barber chairs and wait for the customers. Apparently the comb, scissors and other barber tools are just props, and these girls could not give a decent haircut if their lives depended on it. The girls are not that pretty and the cots in the back are dirty and grimy. These are not high end SPs in any sense, and are usually poor country girls who come to the big city for some easy work. They cater mostly to low paid Chinese men, often also from the countryside, not rich foreigners.

A few years ago I heard the owner of a higher-end salon near the Convention Centre also ran a high-end escort service on the side; not sure if this is the same rumour you heard...
Years ago - when ladies posted a lot in the Sun, there was a young 22 yo blonde, Cassie, that was awesome!! She was a hair dresser and doing tricks on the side to help get by. Lost touch with her unfortunately. Ever since then I have naughty thoughts about those sexy ladies in hair salons - and there are many that are definitely sexy!!!! Years ago, working in other provinces, we used to call either nurse residences or hair salons to see if any would be interested in partying with us -- worked quite often, but easier when you are their age!!! Now the $ might be the equalizer. ;-)
There was a salon in Calgary that was busted earlier this year. I would say there is a very good possibility that one has been started here. As Avery said whatever you do do not post it publically
Years ago there was a place around the corner from Ken's Chinese Restaurant which is on 333 Ellice where some ladies started some sort of 'business' like a hair salon or something, but were doing tricks in the back. They had a couple of beds in the back. Went there a couple of times - very cute inexperienced young girl was working there with some older ladies. Of course I saw the young girl cuz she needed experience!!! - then the cops busted them and shut them down. Anyone remember that place? Only lasted a month or so. Maybe this rumour was started by someone that has just come out of a coma from that year!! ;-)
