Larry I have so many critters running around that thing would be going 24/7!!

There is a hot pepper spray at garden stores that the deer don't like. It is supposed to wash off but there is an aftertaste.

If you people only knew the shit your buying and eating you'd grow your own
I know what you mean, chancy4me, and agree with you.

Hell, just a little while ago a bought a piglet and a calf, hoping to grow them to full size, but they wouldn't let me take them on the elevator up to 22nd. floor.

And I can't grow any veggies on my hardwood floor or concrete balcony. .... I've even tried to grow a few poppies on the concrete floor for a couple of years now, but no luck....

hell, fullhouse - you just gotta think outside the box

you can grow yer own lettuce, tomatos, onions... you could probably grow yer own wheat and bake yer own bread!

Thanks for the suggestion, vcc, but I think you have me confused with somebody that has a green thumb.

I can't grow anything,.... so once I threw a couple of those blue pills (they sure make me grow) into the soil with some asparagus seeds..... Gee, they grew really big, but they were so hard I had to use a jig saw to cut them......... Not ideal during a romantic dinner.....

Grab a bag of the frozen pineapple chunks at Costco to fix that.

right here and now
Langley Farm Market or actual farmer's markets in season for fruits and veggies.
Safeway and SOF are great if you only buy sale items (which we do to stock our pantry). AAA meat (on sale) from the Safeway butcher is also excellent quality. As well, you get 5 cents + off gas with grocery purchase, then 5 cents/litre back from your gas purchase for groceries- a double win there.
Costco for bulk items, cheese, pharmacy. 1/2 hour before closing is best time to shop. Never gas at Costco.
Walmart NEVER! What a gong-show.
Of course, there is always Bellingham. Very convenient for us to shoot across the line for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning. Trader Joes is outstanding. And it doesn't hurt to bring back a few bottles of wine either. But the dollar isn't as favourable as it once was, so you have to be on top of the deals to really make the trip count.

visited fred meyer for the first time yesterday. very nice store. seemed way more organized then walmart or superstore. huge place but didn't have the warehouse feeling that the forementioned does. milk and cheese still cheap down there and there were some other bargains. and of course gas at 2.19 a gallon which with exchange translates to 69 cents a liter, a price you will never see in canada do to taxes alone.
