Don't. Its not worth it unless its the only option to get somewhere for work, such as when one has to go north and cant take ones own vehicle.
I have done a straight 30+ hours (Edmonton to Whitehorse) a couple times due to working up north, it is horrible. The stops are just a waste of your time and unless you are poor... flying is simply the superior answer.
