A question Buono will get many times between now and next season. My guess is Printers wasn't 100% and so didn't get the start and didn't get to play. Dickenson played alright. The bottom line is that as a team the Lions didn't play better than the Argonauts. Yesterday was the best the game the Argonauts played all season. What a time to finally to get it together!

Second place.

Blame it on a weak Lions secondary. A high powered offense just masked this weakness in the Lions.

They barely got past Saskatchewan.

Over 2 hands plus a mouthful big
The Argo's adapted to two things:
The Lions defense and The Lions offense.

The Lions after the 1st quarter were nowhere to be found except for a brief bit when Allen was off.

The Lions defense was like my johnson post sex...limp and lifeless. Dickenson or Printers...now really was that what lost it??? Watching the game it was the bone-headed penalties and soft defence that lost it for them (oh yeah and that kicker/punter I-shanked-it-one-toO'Mahoney). Wally did have a brain cram or two; but c'mon...it's the players that need to execute on the field.

true, however; there is a lot to be said about attitude and going with what works ... though there may be no way to know, the simple combo of starting Printers and finishing with Dickenson has been very successful.

starting dickinson was maybe a statement that someone (butthead buono?) didn't have confidence in the guy that did make it happen ...

even stupid things like superstition can have an impact.

even sending printers out to take the first snap would have been a good thing even if nothing had come of it ...

bonehead screwed up and the rest of the team spent the whole game wondering "Where's Casey?" and it showed.

Bull Durham is a great movie that made fun of 'the streak' but it is true for anyone who has ever played sports: you stick with what works until it doesn't work any more.

bonehead tried to fix what wasn't broken and the team didn't react well.

end of story.

Wally Buono is by far the best coach in the CFL, even if he didn't have his best game on Sunday. It was an incredible stroke of luck that some idiot in Calgary decided to let him go. Just think of where the Calgary Stampeders were before he got there, where they were all throughout his time there, and where they are now. The BC Lions will be strong for a long time due to the fact that in David Braley, they probably have the best owner in the league, in Bob Ackles, they have the best GM in the league, and in Wally Buono they have the best coach. After a decade or so of consistent success under Buono, I doubt many of us will even remember losing this Grey Cup.

Ah well...Lions lost....Toronto won...

It's just like when the Canucks lost to Calgary, but this time, it's not that big of a let down....
