just letting all you perbs know of a promotional plan that rogers is putting out for today only, in the edmonton area.

$15 per month

unlimited evenings and weekends starting at 6pm

200 daytime minutes

does not include voice mail, call id, etc. There is a seperate voicemal plan offering that for $10 per month

You do need to commit to 3 years though. However, I doubt you will find a cheaper deal.

If you call, it's called the Mega Talk 15 plan. you need to mention that name so it pop's up on their screen. I just signed up for it, so I know that it does exist. And no, I'm not advertising for them, just letting you all know of the deal.

that sounds like a cheap City Fido Plan imitation. But since Rogers now owns fido....

Be carefully with these. My city fido - $40. now $45 has bills averaging monthly $85.

When you add system access, mailbox, any roaming outside of the neighborhood, long distance, limited forwarding minutes. etc. ... but the roaming and long distance are the killers.

We need more competition like the USA! Cingular - $ rollover minutes. free cingular to cingular nation wide, (no long distance or airtime). free weekend/.evenings. No long distance within 50 US states. all for $39.99.

Go USA Go Capitalism, Go USA... oops. Go Canucks and Steven Harper and socialized medicine for the poor and executive health services for the rich.

I got wasted by Fido on the HipTop. So many problems, went through two hiptops; etc. There were so many problems Fido actually gave me two free months of service. So manyhours to talk to tech and send replacement phones etc. Awful service and technical support was awful.

So, if anyone wants a hiptop, let me know. It's sitting in a box somewhere with the plastic wrap still on it.
