The second one is incorrect, but the first one is proper -- it's called a contraction, with the apostrophe replacing the missing letters in the word "pictures."
"pic's" is not a contraction. Contractions are composed of two words.
he will = he'll or could have = could've

I think she simply meant to form the plural for "pic" which is "pics" as GBM described in his first post.

What you are referring to is called "elision" - dropping a sound from a word.
f**king = f**kin' or never = ne'er

Just tryin' to contribute to the strangest thread ever on perb.

There is no apostrophe in Tim Hortons http://timhortons.com But there is one in Wendy's http://www.wendys.com/w-1-0.shtml
If there isn't an apostrophe in Tim Hortons, there should be. The hockey player's name was Tim Horton. It was not Tim Hortons. Hence his donut store chain, which once belonged to him before his untimely death when his sports car flipped as he drove between Toronto and Buffalo, would be Tim Horton's. It was his donut chain. Belonged to Tim (and a partner, to be totally accurate). Possessive. Therefore an apostrophe is correct. Are we all clear on this finally? :)

I agree with the original post. Bad grammar pisses me off- nice to know I'm not alone in my vehemence.

Hi, my name is Donut, Dunkin Donut. Welcome to my establishment, Dunkin Donut's restaurant. It belongs to me. I've dropped the word "restaurant" in the name as I thought that it would be a bit catchier that way...
