I plan on driving down to Seattle to catch a Mariners game. Can anyone recommend me a good safe reasonably priced parking lot to park at in downtown Seattle? Some place that's close to a little of everything. I don't mind walking to Safeco field and preferably I would like to avoid the rush/traffic that takes place after the game is over.

tokugawa, I usually drive south on I-5 past Safeco field and take the exit @ the old Rainier brewery( it's now Tully's, with a big " T" on it). That exit will take you west on to surface streets, go a couple of blocks then turn north you can usually find parking on the street for free, or there are lots that charge 10 to 20 bucks for parking. Staying south of the fields, you miss some of the mess, but there is no way to avoid Seattle traffic, it sucks!!

P.S. Try to get there early

Picknshvl is right about that parking place, but make sure you don't leave anything inside your car. You don't want your car broken in. BTW, isn't Tokugawa a very famous Shogun?

Thanks for the recommendation picknshvl! There was lots of free street parking along 6th Avenue S between between S Massachusetts Street and S Forest Street via 163B exit from I5. Not sure why anyone would pay between $15 and $30 to park at or near Safeco Field.
