If you're just burning ISOs, why not use something like ImgBurn?

I stopped using Nero and EZCD ages ago as they all become bloat and kept adding things i just didn't care for.

What kind of video DVDs are you writing? MPEG-2 (DVD standard) or just making data DVDs that just hold .AVIs, .MKV, MPG files?

Check "giveaway of the day" on the Internet, within a week you will find a DVD burning program for free

I'll second Imgburn. very good program.
i do have imgburn, but i'm not buring isos. all .bin and .cue files alone with the chunky vid files (dvd standard). windows will burn the vid files, but w/o the .bin and .cue files it doesn't put on the dvd menus etc. i also have convertxtodvd, but it doesn't work for existing dvd format folders. it's only for after converting a mpeg or something. will try out dvdcloner and slyfox though.

more suggestions will be appreciated.
