Okay - Game 5 goes tonight. Lets go Canucks. Also, lets keep it civil after the game, no need to destroy our beautiful city.

don't count your chickens ...

i am all for optimizism but it ain't over until the buzzer
sounds and the final score says it is ...

last game, if not for Willie Mitchell, it could have been
a whole other story ...

the nucks have a history of complacency when they
get ahead and need to come in and shut the place down
tight or Dallas may shove a few goals up their asses again!

if the nucks win i will dancing on my roof naked (the neighbours
deserve the punishment!) but I'm not headed up there
until its over.

expect controversy, shitting officiating, and lots of dirty
hits from Dallas.

can't wait!!!!!

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Jeesh, my brother was like that this morning too. Don't forget, it's not unreasonable for teams to come back from a 3-1 deficit. Cough...Minnesota against us...cough....

Don't worry about me, I'm usually pessimistic about the Canucks' chances. That way, I'm always pleasantly surprised in the end.

I want 7 games :)
Are you nuts? The sooner the Nucks finish the Stars off the betetr we are. I do hope that the Ducks go to 7 with Minnesota before we get to them.

Does anyone know if the first game would be home or away? I'm guessing it would have to be away if we're playing Annaheim since they were higher ranked than the nucks.

Assuming both Detroit and Anaheim win their series then the Canucks will not have home ice advantage in the next round. However, if either the Detroit or Anaheim lose, then Vancouver will have home ice advantage. At this point, however, it doesn't look like either Calgary or Minny are going to advance.

yup, absofuckinglootly complacent one more time.

the nucks were again in dump and chase mode and
no one went to the net, no one created much traffic,
and at one point, Sedin, Sedin, and Naslund were all
BEHIND the net cycling the puck ...

at least the officiating didn't stink too much.

Yeehaw!!!

As much as I didn't want a Game 7 (even though I had tickets) what a game. For all you naysayers out there who were predicting a Dallas win ... I will say it again. You have to have faith! It seems that some of the same people who though Dallas would win are now predicting an Anaheim series win. And you call yourselves FANS? Give me a break.

As for those who thought the refs ruined the game ... All I can say are your nuts. Yes there were a lot of penalties and yes Dallas had significantly more than Vancouver. However, after the first period when Dallas was ahead 1-0 and the Canucks had not played overly well, the number of penalties was in Dallas's favour and the refs missed two blatent trips by Dallas. In the second period the Canucks started coming on strong almost from the openning whistle and Dallas started taking stupid penalties typical of a team getting desparate. By the time of the Canucks goal, the Canucks had already outshot the stars 9-2 and ended the period outshooting them 14-4. This continued in the third period. Face it, the Canucks were outplaying and outchancing the Starts the entire 2nd and 3rd period and Dallas got sloppy. Only Turco kept them in the games after the first period.

And for those of you who do not like goaltender duels ... Suck it up.
