Any driving range has group lessons, less expensive.

Thank you all for your advice. I am switching careers, and I understand that professionals need to know how to play golf to be succesful. I will look into these options, and tell you how it went.

All of the above is generally true, but as in most things, some people are very good and some are not. I do not know where you are, but if you tell us I am sure somebody can recommend someone in your local area. There is a huge difference in who you might see. For someone not starting as a child good instruction is critical.

Let's hope you have deep pockets. Chances are if you do like golf and want to take lessons, after that, you MAY need custom made clubs that suit your game, a lot of patience, especially when the ball doesn't go the way you want it to plus dealing with slow play and most of all, a lot of lost marbles..I mean golf balls.

just aim for being around 90-100 if you are mainly doing it for your career, i know lots of professionals that don't really enjoy the game of golf, i'm lucky enough to actually enjoy the pain of the game

Yep... good enough to not embarrass yourself and not good enough to beat your boss... that is the ticket.
