Going to Varadero, Cuba for the New Year, any tips or advice?

Saw some nice looking working ladies in downtown Varadero but did not partake. I was told that the donations is 40 to 50 CUC.

Lots of Russians in the resort until after New Year's day then it turned into little Quebec. Lots of other people there obviously but those 2 groups you can tell a mile away.

Food was better than expected, overall I had a great time...

was there years ago and had a great time. Went to a locals bar in a house in Varadero and got picked up by a 19 yrd old hottie. She took me to another house that rented rooms for the night....$5! Had a great time and waved good bye in the morning. Very nice lace to visit and lots of histoy to see. Get out of the tourist areas and see the rest of the country if you can.
