As much as I dislike the Oilers (sorry 50), they were by far the better team in the San Jose series.
The Oilers and Ducks are both quick teams!!! It's going to be a great skating and hitting series!!
An Edmonton and Buffalo finals would be pretty interesting though!

I was only able to watch the first period of the Ducks game but what I saw I liked, although I think the first goal on Bryzgalov could have been avoided if he had stood his ground in front of the puck and slammed his legs shut rather than doing the splits and not hitting the ice in time. Catching that save might have given him the confidence to pursue a shut out and the Ducks could have won in that case. I think if the Ducks continue to play like they did during the first period for the rest of their games and their goalies do their jobs the Stanley Cup is theirs!

I think you may be mixing up rosters because you can stick a fork in Cheechoo and Thornton they're already done, both San Jose Players. Oilers 1 Quacks Zerooooooooooo. Edmonton leads the series 1 game to zeroooooooooo.
I can only hope that right now Carlyle is ripping a strip of hide off each Duck who chose to pass the puck instead of shooting towards the goal during the second period. They aren't going to win by passing the puck between themselves constantly, losing it in the process most of the time.
They played like lame ducks during the second period.

The Ducks looked plain scared of the other team while they were in their own zone, taking the puck and instead of skating forward retreating with wings tucked between their shoulders.
The good news is they only to need to win 4 of the next 5 games!

Nice to see you back behind the mask Mr. Giguire. You have 40 minutes left to play. Hopefully you will be able to watch the puck from a distance for the rest of the evening. BUT stay focused anyway.
Mr. Niedermayer of Scott - Shoot the puck when you have it towards the goal.
I realize the stadium is quite when you score. That's ok.
You all have two periods left to play. Skate faster and shoot more and always keep the puck moving forward. It looks like you guys are all resting except when the puck is in the other teams zone.
No rest tonight. You've got to play hard and fast like you really want it.
