I had a pretty good dinner last night, therefore, there couldn't be any global hunger.
there's more than enough food production, it's just like with the energy situation, those that have it don't like to give it to those who can't pay for it

even the US has people with food insecurity

This just in, 2019 was the 2nd hottest year on record in 140 years of instrumented measurement.

https://www.noaa.gov/news/2019-was-2nd-hottest-year-on-record-for-earth-say-noaa-nasa

Also, NOAA and NASA in independent studies found 2010s to be the warmest decade in instrumented measurement history.

Also just in:

Master Blaster looks out his window today and found snow and very darn cold temperature.

Hmm, whom do we believe about the climate?
140 yrs out of how many?

the 6000 that Mike Pence thinks the worlds been around for? lol

not to mention, those stats, back when there weren't concrete jungles, millions in one spot

just look at the wide variations now in rural/city temps

not to mention people living in areas where no one lived up until a few decades ago

are all those factors among others being put into those models? hypothesis's?

all you ever hear, is do as I say, not as I do, from assholes like the Turdeaus, why was his idiot wife in London last week?

was Zoolander back home planting a dozen trees to make up for her flight?

I don't think it really matters if anyone believes in global warming or they don't believe in it. The things that can't be denied are the facts we are polluting the air, polutting the water and we are stripping the earth of natural resources to which we have no idea what the consequences might be. The only fortunate thing is that the earth will likely be here long after people are extinct.
and the only solution to that is to reduce the herd, which isn't going to happen

just look at the current situation, if there was ever a good time to get rid of cruise ships, now they have the excuse, you want to talk pollution, look into them, lol

so if you can't even get the world to get rid of useless, pointless things that pollute the ocean, they dump sewage into to it on a massive scale, the diesel they use, ect...

why anyone goes on a cruise is beyond me, the amount of times they've had other outbreaks, murders, rapes, crimes in international waters no one cares about, lol

you aren't going to get any real results if you can't even get rid of these polluting barges, when you have a good excuse, there's still dipshits who want to go

people will survive, adapt, we have for 6000 yrs haha, 6000 more will be nothin!!

I have some news for you. This planet has been around for 4+BILLION years and the "Climate" has been changing for all of that time.Mankind has been partially industrialized for 100 years and the Socialists have latched
onto the "Climate Change" agenda quite some time ago.Take a look at the agenda of Antifa or Extinction Revolution into the deeper goals they want and it is just pure Socialism...same for all the shit Greta Thunberg spouts.
At the same time ask yourself who is funding these people.Little Greta did not get a multi-million dollar catamaran donated for her to cross the oceans nor did the crew that manned it work for free.Greta's tour of the USA
and Canada was not free.No hotel chain just gives away free rooms and food.

The very idea of environmentalism has been co-opted by Socialists who want free education/housing etc and the redistribution of wealth and they are doing so under the umbrella/shield of saying they want to save the planet.
The very idea of Climate Change has completely gone of the discussion of actual scientific facts to a Political matter. To say the "science is settled" is nothing more than saying "I am right and you are wrong and I dont want to discuss the facts".There is never a "consensus" in science. There is "theory" there is "evidence" there are "facts".The statement that 97% of scientists believe "Climate Change" is real is pure bullshit for it's encompassing statement.Yes 97% of scientists believe "Climate Change" is real. How many scientists? How many scientists answered back to the UNIPCC query?Of those that did answer back how many of them came back with the answers the UNIPCC wanted to hear? How many who answered back had their opinions ignored or omitted?Just like any computer model you get the same result....if you control the data going in you control the result of the data coming out.

It is -18C in Calgary right now as I reply to this and more like -28C with the windchill.Global Warming.....yeah I wish we had some....the average mean temperature from 1850 to 2020 is 14C.

SR
Oh my god, you changed my perspective, you are such a genius :)
how can you even tell that I am an environmentalist, while I am trying to say that we can't stop climate change completely and it had been happening forever. I was actually trying to rubbish this whole discussion because its used by people like you (also include the opposite group) who use it for just point scoring!

Post all the studies and statistics you want. I’m not one of the people that can’t see the forest for the trees.
Very ironic given your thread is about refuting Global Warming due the weather you observe in your neighborhood on a given day.

I don't think you can see beyond what is visible to your naked eyes, and even then your seem to have heavily covered lense.

It may be true but IMHO you are better off being alive today then any time in previous history. People are living longer with better health care and more free time and disposable income on average. Do you think this would have happened if we did not industrialize? Are there negative effects of this, absolutely, so we make things better. Anyone who has been around more then 50 years knows that a lot of issues with pollution and squandering resources have improved over that time. And they will continue.

Look at Carbon Emission. We are developing technologies to remove carbon from the atmosphere and turning it into fuel (Google it). Not to mention the rapid increase in Solar Energy and Electric Vehicles. We are consistently being challenged by problems and we are consistently coming up with solutions. Look at the market for products related to global warming, yet another market fueling our economic growth.

As for climate change as other have pointed out this has been going on for thousands of years and will continue no matter what we do. There are several ancient cities under the ocean and that happen thousands of years ago . So the question is not is Global Warming real, which most scientist would agree but what effects are being caused by our practices and how much impact are they having. IMHO things will get warmer no matter what we do until we reach the peak of this climatic cycle and then it is likely we will head back toward another ice age.

The real problem here is that politics and financial markets use this to improve their positions by scaring people into behaviors that benefit them. If you are older think back on how many times we were told that doom and gloom is ahead and the future is going to be terrible. Hasn't happened yet.
