i'm glad they finally drew for the damn thing - they've been non-stop advertising it for about three years in a row now... maybe we'll get a break from it for a while... :doh:
Broadcasters historically have not been well paid. Unless they become a "name". Then when they go to renegotiate their contract, CNN, CBS etc starts looking pretty good.

yeah thats really cool , especially since his oldest girl won her battle with leukemia, nice to hear he got it.
Hard to tell IMHO. He spent a lot of years on Radio. Like all of these on air personalities they have to spend their dues in the minors so to speak. Small towns with small stations and limited budgets. TV and radio are suffering from reduced revenues due to the internet just like other media. Net result is there is not much room to move on wages/benefits.
Only sure thing for on air broadcasters is the mother corp CBC who tend to have long term employees like any other government organization.
My source is someone who has worked a long time in the management side of broadcasting.
