Gillis saw that his team couldn't do the job last year so he upgraded with what he thought was the best deal out there. At least he steps up to the plate to try to make changes.

Dude his signing of sundin and luongo where horrible in my opinion. Especially signing lui for so long till 2017. But again long as people continue to fill the buildings n the ownership like the guy ....we're stuck with him. He's done some ok minor deals but some major flops.

If im the gm i woulda signed lui for more money but for a shorter term 3-4 yrs tops and if he leaves then we go sign a goalie for 3 mill. But some of the gms who sign players to 7 yrs or more are hurting their team in the longrun.
