Trust me. Those of us who were there are not asleep!

Two excellent teams, play nine games against each other in a three week span, game count ends up at 5-4, it's fitting that they are both Champions.

A tip of the hat to both the Vancouver Giants and the Medicine Hat Tigers. Awesome hockey played by two groups of under 21 year old players who gave it their all. They did Canadian hockey proud...

Nothin against Lucic, but Keetley got robbed.
You may be right, although he'd probably like the second (winning) goal back. And they did lose two games during the tourney. Given that they only played four, is a .500 goalie an MVP?

But what about Sexsmith? Didn't he set a new record for lowest goals against average?

Put the same kids together with (almost) any other coach and they don't win it.
Don Hay is a great coach and a credit to the coaching community.

Keeltley was the only reason they were remotely in the game, much less the tournament.

I was there too. Great game!
Even though the Tigers lost I thought they were in it and had their chances.
I don't know why that #10 ref was back in, he blew the previous game.

Love the chant....boom, boom, boomboomboom (thats the drum lol), LETS GO GI-ANTS!!!!

Now that's hockey!!! Was there any doubt that the cup would end up here sooner or late?? Better that it was sooner!! From Ron Toigo to Don Hay, the foundation is there to be competitive year in year out. Good on the players because for some, this is as sweet as it's gonna get. And good for the people who supported it because as far as hockey championships are concerned, that may be as good as it gets for this city.

Better to watch than those sissy NHLers. Look at how long until the Finals play. Look at the schedule. Game1, off day ,Game 2.. didn't they use to play back-to-back games in the playoffs?

I stand to be corrected, but I'm fairly certain that the ref who blew the call on the Plymouth goal (which should have counted), and blew the call on the Watt goaltender interference penalty (which was flat out the wrong call), was the referee from the Quebec League. The other ref from Friday night (#10), carried on into the final. He who blew those two calls, both of which were bad calls, did not work on Sunday. The second referee on Sunday was from the Ontario League.

The best hockey in years from any league. I watched about 6 games between these two and all were great. Keep the names of these guys in your head. They will be burning up the NHL in the new future:cool:

thx James. I don't know which was which, the people in the seats next to me were all sure it was the same guy. I'll take your word for it though.
