That’s only in Newfoundland. Don’t even know if they’re a half hour different like they used to be. I think not.Why not split the difference 1/2 hour and leave it, maybe i am to simple.

It’s just another example of government control over our lives. It serves no useful purpose and needs to be done away with.sorry, but if changing the clocks 2X a yr is such a problem
then one must assume you all go to be at exactly the same time every night every other day of the yr
never leave you time zone, ever
have never spent a weekend out drinking/parting ever
seriously, the whining over this action is so silly it's pathetic, with actual problems people have
you're pretty much complaining about something you do on a regular basis weekly
not going to bed and getting up at the same time everyday
Agreed ... I pedalled to and from work very carefully and was lit up like a Xmas tree.It is a pain in the ass and statistically leads to more accidents due to the time change.I say get rid of it.

Why? I like DST. More useful daylight for typical business day workers imho. Only reason I would want Standard Time would be to align with jurisdictions already having abandoned time changes. Eg: we would want a practical time zone change between Vancouver and Vegas. Well, maybe Nevada isn’t such a good example. Point is, it would be better if BC were not an exception to the eventual unchanging PST outcome. We should stay on Standard, not Daylight Time all year.
Hmmm maybe because the standard time is the correct time. I.e. The Sun is at the highest point at noon, as it should be. So the science, physics and astronomy tell us we should be on Standard Time.
