I highly recommend this fairly new service now available in Vancouver, Victoria, Langford, Duncan, Kamloops and Nelson. It is completely anonymous. You set up an online account for which you can use your "secret" email address. You answer some questions and then generate a lab requisition - which is anonymous. Then go to one of the designated Lifelabs. 7-10 days later, you check your online account for results. Testing is done for: Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis C. Throat and rectal swabs are now available. Of course this does not test for herpes, HPV and a few other STDs for which you need to see a doctor or go to a clinic. You can repeat test every 3-12 months depending on your activities!
