Maybe not Scott free.
They fig. On throughout 3 to 6 million gift certificate. That's that is 75. To 150 million.
And some one is doing a class action suit agenda a group of the store ..asking 1 billion.
All though if you do the math .
And figure 10,000 loafs of bread a day at $1 over priced for 14 yrs , that only comes to $52 million. No where near what one store is willing to pay out.
But I looked at it again and fig 100 loafs of bread a yr for 3 million over 14 yrs and that is 4.2 billion profit .
So i guess 1 billion is not enough and neither is 150 million in gift cards
We some times don't realize how 50 cents or a 1 dollar adds up over thousands of time and 10s of years ..
But business does

And the 15 or so employee they have . And I feel we are cheated out of a few hrs pays a day ,at 10$ hr. That's $20 times 15 = 300 a day times average 300 days a yr= 90 ,000. a yr .and they have done that for over 10 yr and more .

You have to ask your self how many companies do this on a regular bases with employees products.

One aspect of our business uses time cards not time clocks. Total honour system. I have noticed no one rounds down to the quarter hour, always up.

I guess I should clarify that transport cars and that we work on a contract price per drive $40 to $55 each way weather we have a car back or not .. But it still can be any where from 8 to 10 hour day. From leaving home with a car to catch 7 o'clock ferry to trying back to Victoria by 330 and still having to pick up next day car . We made thstchoose but we realize we dont make min wage ..
Of course it easy work just like driving to work for most people..but there is responsibility that goes with shipping new cars.

I do not remember seeing a Loblaws grocery store here in Van. What banners are Loblaws stores under here in Van. I mean are they Safeway, Extra Foods, etc.

In don't think we have any lablaw on the island.
But when you consider Island bakery makes Lunber jack bread and sells it for 2.50 from the bakery out let. And thrifties wants all most$4 for the same thing you know there is a big mark up . A loaf prob is made for less then 50 cents.

If they sell President's choice brands (or have a shrine to Galen West in the stockroom) they're Loblaws
