Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, and Emma Stone- this movie's got a whole lot of hotness and awesomeness! 
And ya know, the movie looks good too
And ya know, the movie looks good too I guess, somewhere along the way, the release date was moved to January 11th. I am still pretty excited to see this one despite the fact that it's not a sequel to Monster Squad!
Hmmm... I was thinking it reminded me more of Mullholland Falls... or the short lived TV series, The Hat Squad.
Edit to note: took me an extra moment to realize that maxx is saying this is a prequel to LA Confidential.

looks good, but what a stupid title - what did it take some studio stooge, like 3 seconds to think it up?
Seems like " The Untouchables " to me. Anyways, any movie with beautiful Emma Stone is a must-see.
I think the suits in the studio had this Gangster movie well thought out for better ROI. 40's setting with rap music, love story between Gosling and Stone is like rebooting Spider-man to attract the young demographic. Which means they're wishful thinking the " Twilight " crowd will show up in the theatres. :nod:

Too bad this gangster movie didn't do good in the box office even the low budgeted A Haunted House movie faired way way better. But Emma Stone was still RED hot.
I have not sen the movie .. and don't know if i will .. I looked up on line to see what it was based on and like all way .. the moves turn out to be over blow BS
For all the guns and shot up to get Mickey Cohen It was an on going agenda that toke years .. and in the end Cohen was put away on tax evasion just like many of the top mob guys ...
IN FACT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY , Is Mickey Cohen was a celebrity that hung out with many of the Hollywood types , and big shots ,, even Sanatra , and Nixon were part of his acquaintances ..
