I've actually never watched a full episode, but I got on a binge watching Ozzy Man Reviews. Man, that guy's hilarious! I'd say he's one of the funniest video guys out there right now. (His reviews are probably even funnier if you've actually watched the episodes).
If there's one thing I've noticed being predictable, its the show's UN-predictability. Even on the reviews, I was surprised at MOST of the events (not Jon Snow's resurrection, however), but I get the sense the more recent seasons are showing trends towards "good guys winning". So for Season 8, I think the show is going to spin that back and end on sad notes (unless you're a white walker fan). Ozzy man pokes fun at how people draw parallels between the show & real-life, so at risk of extending those parallels further, here are some random, uneducated predictions for Season 8:
1. Cersei survives some assassination attempts, which further emboldens her to betray helping the others.
2. While the human armies bicker & scheme, the Undead march southward, taking over city after city.
3. Jon Snow learns to ride a dragon. Pairs up with Dani. One gets snuffed by the Ice King before any big final army battle, the other dies trying to save the first.
4. There's no final big army battle. Fans are disappointed, but the show stays consistent with its (mostly) refusal to follow typical Hollywood plotlines. Most of the Starks and other good guys die trying to do good.
5. Sam discovers some more methods to kill White Walkers and undead. The good-guy armies try to set a trap with wildfire but someone betrays them and the trap fails.
6. Theon Greyjoy of all people leads the remaining humans across the sea to Easterly, makes peace with people on that side.
7. The only 'present' for the fans is a super-boss-fight between The Hound and Gregor. Both die.
My favorite clip so far, Cersei @ 1:45: "He was taking a poo. HE WAS TAKING A POO!!!" {can't seem to insert a video...**
