There was no problems until windows got smashed and cars got burned then OMG the cops are arresting people and not putting up with any shit OMG NO WAI !!!!!!!!!!! that makes no sense all we did was destroy and smash things why the fuck are we being detained ????? If they're so concerened about security then don't hold the meeting in a big canadian city, shut part of it down and expect everything to be ok. Wanna keep them safe, have the meeting at a military base.

Poorly produced show by entitled protesters to "prove" how hard done by are Canadians. I felt like puking watching this socalled "interview". Canadians appear to be the spoiled children of the international community. Each and every protester who used violence to make his/her case and those who gratuitously caused violent aggression should be convicted and sentenced to imprisonment.

Why did you even start this thread when there is already another thread about the same subject. You know about it because you commented in it. Much like you have over-reacted to the video, just about every post you have made has consisted of responses that are the result of you misunderstanding and, in my opinion, purposely twisting around what rational posters have said, just so you can rant and rave. Back to the Olympics. Some Canadians decided it was their right to trash public property. I believe the news report said they were anarchists. I was embarresed, that any other Canadian would do this.
Now for Toronto. Previous meetings of the G8 and G20, have had protestors, some violent, some not violent. If the protestors get violent and burn cars, these protestors have proven to all that they do not care about the property of other people. They are just out to cause trouble.

As for 22 hours and and an infected toe? I believe it is something like 24 hours and a charge has to be laid or the person released. No matter how the person got it (someone maybe stepped on it or the person kicked something) an infection takes time to progress. Go to the hospital and get a doctor to look at it.

Are people in general just getting stupider?

Well not fear mongering but being realistic a gathering of the leaders of the 20 most powerful nations on earth makes one hell of a target for anyone who would want to try. So its not being fearful but it has to be planned for and protected against, It has to be held in a major city because once you add in all the people who organize and put these things on your talking about like 20,000 people even asked and answered on the news. Once the rioting looting vandalism starts the police round up everyone to be on the safe side to prevent it from happening again and look 300 people arrested and no rioting no car burning no stores looted and windows smashed so guess it does work. Anarchist or not once the crap hits the fan the police go into lockdown mode if you don't like it then don't be there cause once the violence starts what the fuck do you expect is gonna happen ? Before the violence there were protests and people even mooning the cops and no arrests all the cops did was restrict thier movements to keep the security area free and check bags for weapons after the violence hummm arrests and not taking shit from anyone kinda notice the correlation in events there ?
