Thats good info for people to know. I had a friend who had a stroke, but nobody around for a full day, as he layed there until his GF showed up.
I also read a story about a guy who had a stroke in his washroom, landed on the floor with half his body paralyzed for several days, trying to bang
and hollar with one arm to get someone's attention. (He lived alone in an apt.) He managed to undo the water line off toilet to help keep him alive.
I always keep my cell phone close to me in the home, since I live alone, in case anything happens. Having a shower, I keep it a low spot, because
if anything happens in there, obviously one will land on the floor, etc. I consider myself healthy, but nothing is ever guaranteed in life.

There is also a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack) which is sort of a minor stroke or a warning stroke. They're minor and last a short time but you should get to the ER ASAP. I believe you have a 3 hour window to get assistance before lasting damage would happen.
