When I lived there, there were no dog friendly parks near the beaches (Crescent or WhiteRock) this time of the year, but the beachesw abd trails are fabulous. Good eats along Marine Drive, cool little shops, ice cream and specialty coffee houses. Have fun Gerri!

being a local :) go down 16th ave until you get to 140th.(if you are coming from uptown by the mall) and hang a left towards the beach. keep going striaght and through the intersection and u will see a yellow house on the left side with a whooping willow tree.. keep going straight and the road will come to an end, where you can turn left or right. Turn left, and this is a dead end road, that leads you to a trail. Park your car if you are driving, and go down the trail. This will lead you to a private beach area. There is a rock there that is flat and long enough for you to lay on. Its a perfect way to get some privacy, and some naked tanning in !!! :) I go there all the time and I am never botherd. You can sit up periodically and see if someone is coming down the tracks and then just cover up when you know that they are getting near.

Also down 16 ave heading the same direction towards 140th.. (this is if you are coming from uptown by the mall ) on your left hand side you will see a hockey areana, could also be a curling club.. not sure i havent been down there in a bit, however if you walk down behind the building past the parking lot,, there is a trail that will bend to the right.
Follow the trail and you will come to a beautiful look out point, surrounded by trees. Its a trail with wooden steps, part of the way, and then a gravel trail the rest of the way. You will be surrounded by trees completely, The trail heads down towards the water. Many people walk their dogs down that trail, its good exercise for them and a peaceful pretty scenic walk for you.

:)
have fun :)
it's so beautiful out here !!!!
