I am pretty much fucked because I only got the compressor the day before.
I never opened the box and recorded the serial number.
The police cannot seize anything because I cannot prove it is mine.
Bit the bullet and got another one yesterday. Picked up a nice new door and lockset as well!

Re fentanyl, that's like a self cleaning oven at work.
CBC mentioned some addict in BC who had thirty overdoses!
That one junkie right there...how much did they cost the taxpayer?
I got one trip in an ambulance and had to pay over $500. I bet junkies don't have to pay.
The payment is in the form of brain cells......its part of the natural selection process, and is eventually self correcting.

might be worth checking with the retailer, some keep track of the serial numbers in inventory for warrantee purposes, worth a try

Just put up a "RING" spotlight camera after having tools stolen from my truck... They should be glad I didn't hear them.

The camera gives me push notices on my cell and tapes all activation's to the cloud for $30 bucks a year at 1080p.
I can turn on a siren if I want. great system at a reasonable price...

Plus the electric cattle fencing wire I have installed for good measure LOL
I don't have Ring but I do have Arlo which is a wireless camera system. It runs on batteries which last for months between charges. It's similar to Ring in that it can be set to record when the motion sensor is activated. It has good night vision and a built in alarm and speaker and microphone. It's been really good for monitoring the puppy from my iphone. I can record to the cloud but I've chosen to record to an external USB memory stick instead. I got mine from Bestbuy and I've been impressed so far.

I've had a few break ins on my vehicle. I got the camera to monitor when the thieves might be coming around to see if there's any pattern but so far nobody has attempted anything since I've gotten the cameras.

Well of course junkies dont have to pay for ambulance trips....they need "compassion" and not bills.Funny enough with our fucked up Justice system if you caught the POS in the act of stealing from you and tuned the guy you would be treated like the criminal.

we always seem to say the same thing,
well they will never reproduce,

well the truth is they do, and keep reproducing,

and there is a whole industry supporting them, from social workers, legal aid, care givers and workers foster care etc etc. oh judges and cops and prison cards.
I sometimes think one day there will be more people not working, then there is working,

and you know what I find surprising,
is how well some of them do.
they learn how to play the system, lie, con. friends, family and the system church groups government aid of all kind.
they actually can do very well.it is sad it is very sad, I know several people gone down that road, of addiction mental health, etc etc. one of the first thing they learn is how to play people the system

starting from my father, who always went poor me, im the victim hear. as he raped and abused people.
to be truth ful it is easy to go down that road.
poor me what about me, I came from a fucked up childhood, its easy to say,
I said it,
the truth is, doesn't matter, what happened to you, what matters is who you are, what you stand for.

and its a hard thing to do, a lot easier to say poor me, everything is against me.

but that is what makes it interesting, much more interesting to go against the current. be some one, instead of a creation of someone else's doing

Try to get a credit card with theft protection.

Yeah I really don't get how we're supposed to feel sorry for people dying of fentanyl overdoses ESPECIALLY since it's all over the news. We could start another debate about how come type 1 diabetics aren't provided free syringes/insulin etc

I realize this doesn't apply to most city dwellers but my mile long driveway has a sign at the beginning.

" If you can read this, your already within range"..... I only had one problem with three guys a few years ago.
It was dark ,so I guess they didn't see the sign, as they walked onto my place, to take my truck. Or so I heard them say ,when they walked right by the tree I was standing under.
They ended up running into a barb wire fence as they exited my place at a very fast rate of speed on foot.....like I said.. it was very dark that night.

Got an eight gallon compressor for my birthday.
Brought it home put it in my garage.
Someone stole it today while I was at work.
Never even had a chance to take it out of the fucking box.

It's not the first break-in, a year ago they took a mountain bike. This shit never happened until meth came along.

Not interested in any hard luck stories about bad childhoods or substance problems.

A number of years ago I had my ( condo )apartment broken into by the guy who had moved in across the hall the courts put him on house arrest and some sort of fine option program . He said he had a gambling addiction almost zero jail time I had to deal with every day trying not to kill the asshole. I mean you think if someone breaks into my place i am going to do them in . But the reality at least for me was i did not want to get a criminal record . As i did not want to upset certain family members by going to jail for murder .
I ended up putting a medico high security lock on my door . I was shocked at the number of people. That had had their house broken into .I mean its not a subject that normally comes up but yea the bank teller people at work almost every person i talked to had it happen. At some point in their lives.

and what most people don't seem to get. Is it is not just the fact that they took whatever they took .Its that they came in a violated your personal space

guessing you know this already but if the amount of the object stolen is under a certain amount the police will not try to look for finger prints .
"
and when you phone your insurance company they will try convince you not to make a claim as you will lose your" claims free discount In other words you make a claim and they will charge you more for insurance .
