What a total, fucking idiot.

I thought it would be Burrows or LaPierre doing something incredibly stupid.
The league should suspend him the rest of the playoffs.

As Napoleon Dynamite said, "Idiot."

he did not leave his feet and there was no elbow , maybe a little blindside but they were both playing the puck ...2 minutes at the most...refs got it right.
Torres is what we need for the playoffs jerkoff !!!and its called PLAYOFF hockey and get s bit rough out there. if you cant handle it watch golf !

Let's see what the league has to say about it.

I guess you'll have the same reaction if a fringe player throws the same hit at a Sedin, huh?

torres did what torres was hired to do

seabrook was seriously cramping the sedin's style and somebody had to do something about it - somebody was torres. and after he got back on again after the penalty, he nailed seabrook again, this time sending him to the dressing room

like buddy said, this is playoff hockey. seabrook goes around with his head down - he's gonna get hit. you watch toews, he's constantly looking up to make sure he doesn't collect a defenseman as he makes those crazy mad rushes. yes it affects his game, but again, that's playoff hockey

Look at the replay again my friend. Torres hit him square on the logo.
A blindside yes, a headshot, no.
The rules for suspension are for headshots. Unless I'm wrong, I haven't seen squat about
suspensions for clean hits when the opponent is looking the other way.

It was a monster hit and I really don't know if Torres will be suspended for this one or not. Like a previous poster said he didn't leave his feet, didn't use an elbow etc. Why would this one get a suspension over an open ice hit where the puck handler had his head down?

NHL might pull the "Seabrook" is a NHL allstar vs Torres being a third liner.

Thing I am concerned about is if Chicago sends a 3 or 4th liner after one of our first liners in the next game. Nothing to lose for them now.

I have to chime in, I was watching the game and my initial reaction was SHIT, Fucking Torres, but then I watched the replay, and watched it again...and after reflection the hit was clean, there was no intent for qahead shot, he was coming in shoulder on shoulder and then Seabrook drops his head..

watch it again, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeZDE9H3_vU

That was a clean hit and if anything the 2 minutes was uncalled for. You keep you head down you get nailed, its that simple. Torres was doing his job and well given that Seabrook never came back after the second hit.

I have called my ex wife asking to borrow her broom on Tuesday night if she wasn't going anywhere.

Please pardon,my inability to translate.
Let me take the chance to tell you,Larionov & Mogilny are my alltime favourite Russian hockey players.
You have my best wishes for Soichi 2014.

I don't think it's got anything to do with hockey. Note the numbers 40 and 24 appearing in the text, makes me think he might be trying to sell you one or both of his sisters, and whatever amount of Viagra you need to make it work will be thrown in as a dowry.:p

clean hit cockwhisperer!

a supposedly 'intelligent' Dman like Seabrook should have his head up and be aware of what's going on around him (always).
and besides, the puck was right there inches from his blade. Torres did nothing wrong imo, it was perfectly timed.
but on the Eberle hit, yes, I agree that was ugly and the punishment fit the crime.

it was a shoulder to shoulder hit on Seabrook (watch it again and freeze it if u have to)…the head snapping back is inevitable and looked worse than it was.
the NHL watchmen got it right.
you could learn a thing or two from Gary Valk and John Garrett.

Go Canucks!
