How many golfers do we have on this board? I have only been here since last year but the thought came to me last night that it might be fun to have the 1st Annual PERB Open Golf Tournament. You don't need to be good - hell you don't even need to have played before. It would just be an afternoon of fun, beer and a few(or a lot) of laughs. We could arrange it at some local course that would not be too challenging (for the beginners) and perhaps come up with a few prizes (always accepting donations from the SP's in the crowd) There could be prizes for the "longest drive", "closest to the hole" etc. Just an idea in it's rough stages at the moment but thought I would see if there was any interest at all before proceeding.

My only concern would be the matching of faces to handles, and the risk that comes with it. It's one thing to be a pooner secretly, its another for a group of strangers to be able say "hey that guy over there is a pooner!"

Not that I would participated but if you're serious, here's an idea. You play "best ball" and the teams consist of 3 "hobbyists" and a SP. The guys have to pick up the tab for ladies for the day of course. Side bets are optional!
