For SPs - Has anyone been "outed"?

Have any SPs been outed to family friend or co-workers?

I have always wondered if someone I actually know will contact me, I will send pics and then WHAMMO, I am outed.

Has this happened to anyone? How did you deal with it?

Do some SPs tell the people in their lives about what they do?

Your feedback is appreciated!

Not too far
See Gina's post earlier

I'm not an sp, so I hope you don't mind me jumping in.

I would say never tell anybody about what you do.
The logic is simple: if you don't tell them they'll never know (hopefully) so they won't try to judge you, break up with you or spread the word. I agree, it's not easy to live a secret life. If you tell them, sooner or later the word will be spread and sooner or later there will be a a person or a moment in your life when you will not want this to be known and you'll regret you didn't covered it. For that moment I would say it's better to keep it secret.

If you keep it for your self you're in control, if you let it out you don't have any control anymore. Never disclose things you would like to keep really secret to ANYONE, even to your closest friend. Your closest friend today tomorrow may not be a friend anymore.

interesting...

what about lying and saying that you have a vindictive ex-boyfriend posting photos of the two of you (more so you) in happier times on escorts sites?

sure its a lie....but you're already living one as it is...

maybe its just late and thinking like an idiot

babydick,
I could not have said it better. :)
Man that guy has a funny handle... and it's funny when somebody else says it with a straight face, like Tess :).

I wasn't ever planning on telling anyone in my life. No way in hell I would disclose that. I would be dismissed at work and probably disowned by family.

I just wondered if anyone had ever had one of those awkward moments when they "ran into" someone they actually knew from their regular life and how they handled it.

Here's another part to this question. How do all you SPs deal with the stress of living a double life?

There was a post by one of the members a while back about keeping secrets which has unfortunately been deleted, but it went something along the lines of: if you tell two people a secret, and each one has a 90% probability of keeping the secret over a given period of time (eg. a year), you already have a (100% - 90%x90%) =19% chance your secret will get out during that period.

I have known a few SPs in real life, and most of them either keep it a complete secret and don't tell anyone, or they tell one person they feel close to (so if you go on an outcall and run into trouble at least someone knows where you are), or they twist the truth a little bit (eg., say they're in web cam work, or do nude massage with no touching, etc.)

As for what they do when if they get caught, well, they shit bricks and try and lie their way out of it. Or they quit. Or they move and conduct their business further from their home.
