Very cool info for seafood lovers. Makes you wanna visit your favorite seafood place and indulge yourself with a good serving of dungeness crabs and prawns. Come to think of it when you make a future visit south of the border, about 50% of the fish supply in the United States comes from the Gulf States. With the recent offshore oil spill, we'll be eating BP branded fish, prawns, and crabs for the next decade. Next time you go to a seafood resto in New Orleans or Galveston, the waiter will be asking, " How would you like your fish - unleaded regular or premium grade?

Hoping for the best but expecting the worse.

Great resource, I wish people in general took more concern both with the health facts of their diet and the sustainability.
I am a huge fan of eating local as much as possible. I am a big seafood lover as well so this guide is a huge benefit.

You're welcome, I'm glad it will be useful.

I like the fact that they're pocket size so you can conveniently have them handy at all times. If people are aware of which fish are at risk (bluefin tuna for example...very bad!!!), and do not eat it, without demand there will be less restaurants offering it.

Just fyi - The links included in the first post (bottom) take you to the US versions of the guide (by area). I'm sure you'll find those useful if traveling (or for those living in the US. lol )

Sushiyama - Service is spotty put great quality and quantity at a good price...

371 East Broadway

Toshi's - Excellent all around, service, quality, quantity, and not too expensive. Line ups start about 30 mins before it opens so be prepared to wait.
