Foodgasm Thread -- Show Me Your Food Porn

W

Warl0ck

So far Peyton is the only one to come up with photos. No-one else is into the photographic food porn?

I could show a picture of porridge, or of a bowl of the stuff I mix up for the dog, but Peyton has set the bar too high for that. More from true food artistes, please!
It's likely because you can't just take a photo of what you cooked and upload it here, you can only present a link. So if you want to see what I had for dinner, I have to photograph it, then I have to create a Flickr site, etc, upload it then share it. It's probably just too much work for most people.

I like cooking. It's a good escape from my career (technology). It's right up there with music. My SO is a "super clean eater" so that challenges me a bit to visit Whole Foods a bit more and think about choices, but that only makes for better food.

Omg, I wish I could post pics in this thread, but this is what I do for a living, so nope. Peyton, I would hire you, in an instant. Excellent food styling( walk tall, I am a harsh critic ).

Mmmmmm. How did you know eggs bene is my favourite.
Your making me hungry.

I love shoes and hockey!

You guys don't happen to be bisexual and polyamorous...
I think a lot of people get spooked on making eggs benedict because hollandaise can be really intimidating to make well. I found Ina Garten's blender method a few years back and I swear, I've never had a bad batch yet.

I take a lot of food pictures, what can I say? :p I'm working on doing a food blog in the future but I haven't quite mustered the desire to build a Wordpress theme from scratch, especially since my spare time usually is pretty limited. Eventually though!

And hey, I don't mind being the only one showing porn to everyone else. :bounce:

Why Miss Alexaander, are you flirting with me?

Just sit down here next to me & let me tell you the story of how I got my first pair of Louboutins. They're a lovely shade of Canucks blue; they go with my Trevor Linden jersey! ;D
I flirt with all pretty ladies. ;)

Thanks! Plating and presentation has actually been something I've focused on the last few months. I don't think I'll ever master the 5 star restaurant plating techniques but at least the food looks good!

So really I should, if Peyton does 48 hour dates, book one at her place, with home cooking by her included in the 2 days activities.
Likely such a date doesn't exist, but exciting to think it maybe could.

What's better than 2 days of eating and playtime? Those are my two favourite hobbies! :)

Something a little more refined ... from my polenta phase

[/IMG]

Polenta/Carola potato parfait with shrimp/ceviche and avocado layers with a green tomatillo chili lime salsa, over drizzled extra virgin olive oil/avocado paste.
Ok, I'll play.

Prepared for my special Valentine.

Turkey/veggie burger with Swiss , carmelized onions, avocado and heirloom tomato, a tahini garlic aioli and a (balsamic infused) portobello mushroom bun.

I think an Iron Chef style cook off is in order between us! ;)

Shun Knives are incredible
A good knife is everything in cooking. It can make what is routine much easier, faster & more enjoyable. I took a course in knife skills at college so I wouldn't have the fear of cutting my fingers off (I need them in my business).

Deviled eggs made with avocado mayo
Warl0ck's Reviews:

Deviled eggs: Excellent, great flavor with a bit of a kick
Cookies: Excellent, especially the texture of the dough
Kelp: It's good but about 5 seconds after a bite the salt flavor kicks in (natural sea salt).
Bag of Pistachios: Ate entire bag. And didn't make a mess.

Will definitely repeat.

The heck with being dominated. I want to be fed by MH. I wonder if she would tie me up and feed me deviled eggs?

She'll do it but food prep time is billable. I ate all the kelp but it's got a hell of a salt after flavour. Miss Hunter is a highly disciplined eater which, in turn, makes me a highly disciplined eater. Some men sneak around for sex. Me, I sneak out at night for the delicious taste of breaded chicken wings. I quietly roll the car down the street then jump in, toss it in gear and take off so to not wake her up. She's a food #Nazi
