Houses where a lot cheaper 50 years ago.Price of housing has gone up something like 150% since 1981!!!! If you have the space, growing your own veggies fills the freezer pretty quickly.
Try 150% easy in the last 10 years...where have you been?

This thread is a joke...if anyone is feeling like they are "just getting by" they should stop pooning and continue to spend money on good quality foods...

Pooning is a luxury...food isn't!!!
Yes, they should get their priorities straight and maybe it's an addiction for Fudd or he's cheap.

These guys are awesome

http://www.spud.ca

locally sourced meat and veggies, dairy etc. plus all sorts of pre made meals and such... delivered to your door, no charge.

my neighbours get a 'surprise' box every week... staff picks of the best deals on the freshest produce. they even threw in a tub of locally made vanilla ice cream once. Dump a half a bottle of Bailey's on it and....... food porn. (I dont think they deliver booze, though:cool:)

a tip to end food wastage - Make a list of all the edible ingredients in your fridge and punch em in to Google together and bam! interesting ways to combine what you've got. One night we ended up with blue cheese tortellini with banana infused alfredo sauce - it tasted so good it and it was fun... didnt feel like a chore.
