Anyone have any suggestions for any good venues that will host a nice screening of the fight?

So far the best ones I have found are the:
1. Hard Rock Casino
2. Commodore Ballroom

Thanks guys :thumb:

I would think that most places would be charging a cover fee due to the PPV price of this fight being higher than a 'regular' event (UFC, WWE, etc).

The best way to watch it is if you can get together with some people and make a night of it (BBQ, beers, etc).

I anticipate it will be boring as Mayweather is the best at defense and avoiding getting hit.

Mayweather was able to implement his game plan so it wasn't that exciting. Have to give him credit though. 38 years old, 48 and 0. Rarely gets hit with anything big. Smart way to fight.
If you want excitement and knockouts check out triple G. He swings with bad intentions and you don't need PPV to see him.

as many expected, it was somewhat less than fight-of-the-century.takes 2 guys to make a fight, can't fault Maywether, his defence is near perfect.exciting?no effective?yes.

decision was close enough, and Pacquiao claimed he was fighting with an injured shoulder.
did anyone say "rematch?"

180M and 120M for a fight? It's literally winning in life...

It's not even that great of a 'show', plain marketing.

It didn't help the six year build up to the fight. Was still good for boxing it finally happened.

and Khan said he is Mayweather's final opponent. I will wait one week to see the repeat on Showtime. And Pacman did have a MRI that showed a shoulder tear before the fight and he was not allow to have an anti inflammatory shot. One note: The fight made sure that Marvel's Avenger sequel didn't do $200M this weekend. Second note: The start of the fight was delay as people were still ordering the fight.

The sweet science is now officially dead killed by the promoters and the athletes that compete.

So more Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Thomas The hit man Hearns.

Long gone are the days of Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Smokin' Joe Frazier, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson.

The sweet Science is dead so stick the heavyweight championship/ Middleweight Championship belts in the Boxing hall of Fame wing at the Smithsonian. Only because Don King has fleeced way to much money out of the sport to allow for a hall of fame in perpetuity to exist.
I still like Triple G, Cotto, Juan Manuel Márquez and Alvarado (but 3 of those guys are old).

Triple GGG maybe the best middleweight since Hagler, and Kovalev, like Triple GGG, hits like a truck.

This fight was disappointing as I got what I expected from Floyd, but I expected far more action from Pac. Not sure what I think about his claim of being injured, I suppose given the lack of output it's plausible. But if you know you're fighting injured and you know the public is dropping 90-100 to watch it on PPV, and tens of thousands to watch it live, it seems like you're almost purposely ripping off the public.

Thanks for the PM, watched it at the River Rock Casino ($20/person) with some buds and although the fight was pretty.... meh.... The atmosphere was really exciting. Also I never gamble but was up $150 since I chose Floyd to win. I know some fans were disappointed but I had a really great time.

There is too much money at stake in these superfights.

Instead of trying to knock each other out, instead trying to win...both were more worried about trying not to lose. So instead of aggression it was all about playing it safe and being defensive.

Pity anyone who paid $100 to watch that.

boxing is like any other business…it's about raking as much dough as you can.
two reasons why Mayweather didn't fight 5 years ago:

1: the total purse at the time wasn't enough for Money, and that was a financial move on his part
2: Pac had the goods to give Money a blemish on his record (at the time). last night, it was obvious an older Pacman
can't sustain the 600-700 punches thrown he averaged 5 years ago.

gone are the days of Duran vs Hearns or Duran vs Leonard.
those were the golden days of boxing.

Yes, I would have paid good money to see a prime Duran in that ring last night, instead of an over the hill Pacquiao. There's a movie coming out in the fall about Duran, called "Hands of Stone", Robert De Niro plays Arcel. Since I'm a huge Duran fan, I'm looking forward to it.
