I still like Triple G, Cotto, Juan Manuel Márquez and Alvarado (but 3 of those guys are old). The sweet science is now officially dead killed by the promoters and the athletes that compete.
So more Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Thomas The hit man Hearns.
Long gone are the days of Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Smokin' Joe Frazier, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson.
The sweet Science is dead so stick the heavyweight championship/ Middleweight Championship belts in the Boxing hall of Fame wing at the Smithsonian. Only because Don King has fleeced way to much money out of the sport to allow for a hall of fame in perpetuity to exist.
Triple GGG maybe the best middleweight since Hagler, and Kovalev, like Triple GGG, hits like a truck.I still like Triple G, Cotto, Juan Manuel Márquez and Alvarado (but 3 of those guys are old).
Yes, I would have paid good money to see a prime Duran in that ring last night, instead of an over the hill Pacquiao. There's a movie coming out in the fall about Duran, called "Hands of Stone", Robert De Niro plays Arcel. Since I'm a huge Duran fan, I'm looking forward to it.gone are the days of Duran vs Hearns or Duran vs Leonard.
those were the golden days of boxing.
