I didn't request to have a thread where I had described a prominent PERBert possibly standing me up, removed.

To summarize briefly I had always maintained a strict booking policy and supported many SPs whom I don't personally know from a hole in the ground about what was considered a booked appointment. And so I carried out with a social experiment using myself as the test subject.I wanted to try a system that I had abandoned long ago seeing as the attitudes towards what was considered a set/booked appointment had changed.

From the looks of it it has done a complete 180 degree turn. What was once a booked appointment is so once confirmed, is now a booked appointment once requested. Ones' word is as good and solid as oak, at least from the clients point of view. Responsibility is on the SP, yet as with the vast majority of SPs I'd imagine the seriousness of ones intention is measured with return communication to confirm and not solely based on the clients word, ie. calling to inquire about services and saying "I'll call you back" and they don't.

If a client has been "stood up" by a SP, there often is a clear division depending on the situation. After much energy spent on my part defending the SP on possible extenuating circumstances resulting in lost communication, I set out on my own to see if the same would give the same result if it were the SP.

I'm presently waiting to hear back from pooner/PERBert as under present expectations that an appointment, assuming there isn't anything preventing the fellow to call, is an appointment from the moment of request. The fellow had requested that I call to confirm an appointment with him. I called to confirm as asked and he didn't pick up the phone. Is that his responsibility or mine?

We'll find out if and when he contacts me

I hope this new booking works well and more girls go that way. To me a booking is confirmed and only once did I not make it to a booking . I then called to explain why.

I would never set out for an incall without making the confirmation call (whatever agreed on time before appt start time, I prefer calling 1 hour before).

Of course, if you aren't advance booking, say calling to make an appt within an hour, that is the "confirmation call".

I really really need a phone call at some time before our appointment usually during the day of the appointment.. and If I dont pick up leave a message that I can check quickly.. If I do not get that and you ten minutes before your appointment... when yo have arrived to the area of which I directed you to.. there is a good chance that I may have re- booked our session :) communication and lots of it is very essential
That make sense. I always re-call an hour before to let the girl know I'm coming.

If you have never seen me before and explain you want a call and hour before hand to confirm, I usually have no problem with that. If you just don't answer your phone an hour before hand and there is just no communication, then that is unacceptable. Classy SP's usually at least send a text message soon as they know they can't make an appointment. It isn't about the procedure, it is about courtesy and yes pooners should be doing the same. Very few people have no schedule and time to just hang around. The complaints come when the party (pooner or sp) don't communicate that they can't make it. There are some SP's that are famous for standing people up, they could greatly improve their reputation by having pre-programmed text in their phone with an apology saying they can't make it and send it as soon as they know.

I have never seen CLM, but I have had SP's no show. You get ready, drive sometimes a fair distance. If you have to go downtown Vancouver, Yaletown etc., where I work anyway, it is more than an hour by the time I get there and find parking etc. so by an hour before I am already on the road. Since you are already committed, you keep calling and heading there. To get no communication is maddening. To get some communication is disappointing, but you at least feel you have been treated as a person and not a wallet.

For the record I have only ever canceled two appointments with and SP in my life, I called and sent text messages both times to let them know several hours in advance. One time was because I woke up with a cold and I felt it was unfair to both the SP and her clients for me to see her when I was ill.

Have you considered...

that this was deliberate on the part of the perbert ??? As you point out, you have stood up for ladies you don't know and thier booking policies. You have certainly made yours clear and defended it often. But, as you know, pretty well evertime you did defend it, somebody would call, "enough already." It could be this perbert was one of these "somebodies."

Why do you have so much trouble with this concept...

The client asked you to call and confirm, and you attempted to do so, you lived up to your word and fulfilled your obligation, that is all you can do...

Obviously, when you call somebody the responsibility of picking up the phone on the other end of the line is his or hers, how could it be yours...

Therefore, I would say the client wasted your time and is an ass...

However, let's say the situation is reversed...

The SP asks the client to call and confirm...

The client lives up to his word and dutifully calls the SP to confirm...

The SP does not pick up the phone...

CLM, my question to you is this, who is the ass in this situation...

Good post. Logical, incontrovertible, rhetorical. I love articulate people.

Come on time wasters, admit your assiness! It's the first step to recovery.

CLM...

I ask this question with all due respect...

Why is it, when you call a client to confirm an appointment and he does not answer, you maintain you have been stood up...

And just for the record I agree with you...

However, whenever a client posts his experience with an SP on this board when he calls to confirm and she does not answer the phone, you feel the need to support her and maintain there may have been mitigating circumstances...

Is this a double standard and are you biased towards SPs

Can't understanding why anyone would try to apply the same logic, rules and etiquette in regular business world to pooning. This is not your doctor's appointment, this is not a meeting with your bankers to dicuss financing, this is your secret rendezvous for buying and selling of sex, for god sake. Com'n, wake up and smell the coffee, be realistic, regular rules of business don't apply here, not in the pooning world. At work, if I've made an appointment with my clients of my business one week in advance, everybody shows up at the exact time without any need to confirm. But I'd be a damn fool to believe that the same thing gonna happen when I poon.
If you can't take the heat, you should get out of the kitchen. That goes for both pooners and sp's

CV, I really have to agree with you. It blows my mind that pooners think that indies run their buisness like a dentist runs his office. (YES I KNOW I CAN ALREADY HEAR THE FEW GIRLS CHIMING IN THAT "THEY DO!!!!" AND THAT'S FREAKIN FABULOUS BUT HONESTLY YOU ARE NOT THE MAJORITY!)

You guys don't like that reality I GET THAT but the deal is that the MAJORITY of women who get into this buisness aren't the 9-5 types and one of the main perks for them/us is that this buisness is flexible. Moneywise and timewise. Dancers are the same. The last time I worked the circuit I kinda looked around and realised that the djs and the agents treat us like freakin 6 year olds cause we act like that. We're alot of fun, we do our thing but the personality type that gets into the adult buisness is rarely the stringently organised one. Not dogging on us...but I know alot of sps and alot are rather flighty.

There are certainly some sps who are really good at booking their appointments like a "doctor" would book his appointment but I think the reality is that pooners and sps have to hope for the best and plan for the worst when it comes to this gig. Always have a backup plan and don't take it too seriously if plan A doesn't pan out. Have plan B and move on.

Yeah it's not perfect and girls will say "well I have a perfect booking record" and that's just peachy but all you have to do is look at perb any day of the week and you'll see that no-shows happen on both sides of this gig and both sides need to not take it too seriously. ...you're dealing with sps here and guys buying blowjobs...it IS a unique circumstance....like it or not.

Buddy, you must be new. I'm saying "Don't hate the player, hate the game".
Vinni...

Your right...

I am absolutely new to the game...

Therefore, it behooves me to ask questions...

And figure out how the game is played...

I have read about tentative appointments, unconfirmed appointments, confirmed appointments, appointment apppointments and no such thing as an appointment...

So confusing...

When you really really horny, none of that shit will get into your way. It's all depends on much you want those pussies. Its confusing now, but it will all come to you. ;)
Remember, if you want it, pussy will come. (provided you have the cash to begin with).:D
