I am considering ending my poon career before it even gets started got harassed by border patrol for over an hour coming from US. Missed my appointment but lucky she had a hang up as well. They thought it was odd I was traveling alone staying one night with not much of plans besides wandering the city. Anyways as American I love guns didn't have any on me but they continued the search they demanded the pass code to my iPhone and iPad which I didn't wanna give up but did hoping for a quicker process I knew if I refused they probably would of held me. I have shit to do next week so I did not wanna be detained. Anyways they found pics of all my guns on phone and some texts mentioning a joke about my friends vitamins calling them steroids and another incident about not getting caught which I did not know anything about even know. They told me they assumed from texts and owning guns i was into some drug/gun trades. When i got back to my car saw they pryed into the trunks fabric to look for hidden stuff my trunk is already mostly stripped from an old stereo system I used to have. After all that and over an hour not including wait to get to the boarder agent. They let me go sorry for hold up and said next time make sure I have plans. Anyways do not know how much or any of emails or texts with sps I talked with they saw. However my iPhone does not let me see emails I put on its separate folder so they probably only happen to see some basic confirmation stuff nothing talking about services. Well anyways I will make sure to delete any current emails from now on. Also kinda odd for someone going to Canada solo to have some female clothes. So another lesson I will not buy gifts or just not bring any and buy them here. Well at least I have 2 ladies I am meeting this weekend not sure if I'll review only if they insist. I have one more date set for a few weeks not sure if I wanna come back though not sure if I wanna work up a good backstory. I really winged this one for my laziness. I am open to criticism and tips if you have them I may be done already though.

.......AAAAAnd breathe! As a yank you must know unless you've been living under a rock that crossing the border ever since 9/11 has made security measures much more extreme, and also due to the fact that border guards are paid to be suspicious of those who are crossing over into our country. If you're coming up to poon in our lovely city, and they ask you at the border,"What's your business in Canada?"....have an answer, don't act sketchy and don't be even slightly evasive, or what happened to you will happen again...and don't bring ipads and iphones with pic of you with your arsenal, or hints at illegal activity...use yer head, man....that was very dumb.... especially what's been happening on the other side of the 49th parallel with all the shootings, lack of gun control, wackos wandering around shooting people in movie theatres, Sikh temples, gun trafficking...no wonder they went through your stuff. Next time, if there is...smarten up, realize that you're travelling over international boundaries, not just taking a ride to the local McDonalds for a cheeseburger.

Make everything easier for yourself and think ahead of what might be considered suspicious by border guards. Think think think....tips and criticism delivered.

Tell them you're going to get laid. It's not illegal to get laid.

Bummer about getting the third degree but it happens going both ways.Make sure you have a beliveable story that you can verify if asked...check out what's going on in town for events and say you're going to one of those and be able to tell them your plan to get there,if you're meeting someone, where you're getting tickets if required, and where you're staying, etc. They like to ask lots of questions then ask them again later to make sure the answer is the same.Don't try to improvise or add extra information, just have a solid story with the details in place and stick with it.

Not sure how they'd respond if you just came out and told them you're planning on seeing an escort although it's probably been done.It is legal and they probably could'nt detain you or turn you back.

Good luck with the rest of your trip, hope it goes better.

This goes for going south as well as coming north:

These people are Postal Workers equipped with guns.

Keep it simple stupid. If they ask a question that demands a yes or no give them the yes or no. Never assume you have to fill in the blanks for them ever.

If you are not on business you are visiting for tourism purposes only. Make sure you know something about where you are going to for your cover story.

If you are on business simply state you are meeting with a Canadian customer. We do have free trade and this is technically ok for Canada but in my case I had to get a work visa to do in in WA and OR.

If you have porn on your phone or computer and need this type of item while in Canada bring clean versions with you and leave the jpegs of the SP's at home.

Trust me, this comes from years of experience and hours of being held up at various border crossings across Canada.

I swear those border guards are human lie detectors. I think I would have told them I was going to meet a lady I met on line and give them the name of the hotel I planned to stay at. If they asked her name tell them. If they ask her address tell them you only have a phone number. If they ask you if she is an SP answer truthfully. It isn't illegal.

Well guys my first experience was great I might post a review but anyways I do have another appointment on the 22nd. I need a Canadian friend badly so he can be my alibi for questioning any takers? I am mid 20s I enjoy guns, motorcycles, and being active crossfit/powerlifting/basketball/obstacle course running. A pooning friend would be cool not a friend to poon with necessarily but a friend who enjoys pooning.

I don't think there is anything unusual in what you were doing. It's the weekend, you are a young guy, you want to cross the border on a sunny summer day weekend, why would that alert anyone for any reason.

I think it was just that your number came up, and maybe there wasn't anything else for them to do. They do sometimes pick someone randomly for what seems like a lame reason, maybe just to keep their skills up for when there is a good reason.

You passed the test, obviously, so there isn't really anything much you could do differently. The only thing with crossing a border is always having a definite destination, and a definite return date. And there is nothing wrong with saying 'tourist' and seeing the sights, especially if you haven't been before or it has been many years since you were over the border. Make sure you clean out your vehicle of anything that someone might think you are going to try to sell. If this was your first cross border trip, I think you will find that the next ones are easier. Once you've been pulled aside like that and cleared they are unlikely to keep doing it over and over again.

I've been crossing that border so many times for so long now this is EXACTLY what I do when I'm coming up for sex. If and when they ask why I'm coming to Canada I look them straight in the eye and say "I'm going to see a prostitute." Nothing else. No excuses. Just a direct answer to the question and an answer ONLY to the question, nothing more unless asked for more. (At least if it's a male officer. Not sure if it would be wise with a female officer as so many non-SP females seem to be offended by the idea.) Never had them turn me away yet. In fact, never had them even hassle me on any occasion that I've told them this.

But I also don't travel with things like pictures of guns and emails about illegal drugs such as steroids (even if it WAS only a joke) for them to see, and I put myself in a positive frame of mind instead of a victims frame of mind.

Well there you have it.The border guards are probably so surprised to hear this that they don't really know how to respond.

Mariposa is absolutely correct. There are some very stupid people who use this board and do things like giving out names or giving away identity without understanding the consequences. I wrote about an experience at YVR a few weeks ago, and some one sent in a picture of a gal claiming she might be the one. Well, that gal is probably zeroed at the border now, hate to say it, but she might face arrest if she shows up. And not even accurate either.

It is just about as dumb in my books to give away your picture in advertising on these websites. Photo recognition is now a perfected art and science, and it doesn't take a computer long to ID a passport photo with a Perb face picuture, really people, think about it before splashing your face around.
