so, my favorite faxhole wakes me up at 3:00 a.m. or whatever fucking time it is today to beep ... beep ... beep ... beeep me twice awake ...

get on the phone and yell at telus employees ... but got this info to pass on.

if you get an unwanted fax, use *57 to record the caller's number, you will need it.

next, call: 1-866-617-6355 and you can input the faxer's number and your number and a fax will be sent to them within 30 minutes to tell them to stop.

the only agency that can stop this nonsense is the CRTC ... while i am up i will be writing to them to try to get them to implement some kind of change to stop this nonsense.

since people who send faxes are obviously among the dumbest people on the planet, they need laws to protect them from people like me who would like to roast their nuts over an open bonfire.

faxing seems so 90's to me. Do people still communicate that way?!?!?

I received 1 junk fax about 10 yrs ago from a bottled water company. Never had a fax machine myself but used a fax/modem, and bailed on it as soon as I got shaw.

I'm with you on this one Lonley Ghost. I get those phone calls at least 5 times a day. Screw the law, though, lets just roast their nuts anyway!!

with all the collective computer geekstrength we have on this board, it would seem that someone would have found some better and more um... malicious way to deal with faxholes than a phone call to ma! bell about them ...
