Found myself home during the day for the first time in a while - and turned on the tube to see some old episodes of "Seinfeld".

It was the one where George, whose life is in the crapper, decides to start doing the opposite of everything he'd normally do - starting with ordering a completely different lunch. Next thing you know he's dating this hot blonde, working for the New York Yankees, and finally moving out of his parents' place.

I love his line to pick up the blonde: "Hi, I'm George....I'm unemployed and I live with my parents". :D

Meanwhile, Elaine's life is going downhill - loses her job, her boyfriend.

Jerry's thing is about how his life always "evens out" for him:

"One moment, you're up and George is down....now he's up, you're down....don't you see how it always evens out for me?"

I'd forgotten how clever this show was. I nearly pissed myself laughing.

Anyone out there have a favourite episode? Besides "The Contest", that is....everybody knows that one....

I love the show!

Aside from "The Contest", I love "Kenny Roger's Roasters". Right after that episode aired, I had to march down to the Kenny Roger's Roasters downtown (which in now Hooters) to try to order some broccoli in chocolate sauce!

oh, where do I start? The roommate switch (menage a trois), Kramer smoking (no...look away, I'm hideous!), the mini-series with Keith Hernandez as well as the Kramer goes to Hollywood mini series. Honorable mentions would be the Soup Nazi and the Maestro episodes. Shit, is there a bad one? M*A*S*H and Seinfeld I could watch continuously and never be bored.

The Pick !

Did God say to Moses thou shalt not pick?
Are we not human?!
If we pick, do we not bleed?!
I am not an animal!

Jerry and Elaine are both on an airplane, and Jerry winds up in First Class, and Elaine in coach.

Soup Nazi one is a classic.

Festivus!!!!! A festival for the rest of us! George's dad revives Festivus. "And now time for the airing of grievances. I've got a lot of problems with you people!"
Kramer goes back to work at the bagel shop after being on strike for 12 years.
Jerry dates a "two-faced" woman: in certain lighting she looks gorgeous, in other lights she's absolutely hideous.
Elaine must contend with the off-track betting biz, the place she's been giving unwanted guys as her phone number all these years. They aren't amused.
George is fed up with being given "a donation has been given in your name" cards, so for x-mas he gives to co-workers cards that say "a donation has been given in your name to the Human Fund" (no such thing of course!)

All the above was in one episode!

"7. "Oh, and Jerry? They're real......and they're spectacular!"
Ah yes...Terri Hatcher's parting shot on the "Are her tits real?" show.
They added that line at the last second...good thing too...one of the best lines in tv history.

Are there any bad Seinfelds? Absolutely. The first season was pathetic by comparison to what followed. They were flat, slow, only one story instead of four. Kramer wasn't funny wacky as much as he was creepy & stupid. George was meek & mild with none of the beloved outrage, anger, & tantrums.

Reading these replies was like watching the final episode. Every time they call the next character witness in the court room I still come unglued laughing. Ya gotta love Jackie Chiles. If I'm at home I still watch reruns every day at noon and then two in the evening on TBS. I think I have a problem.
