Favourite PNE Memories...

Being a new comer to the Vancouver, it is great to explore the city. Last year, for one day, I experienced the insanity known as the PNE (Pacific National Exhibition).

As someone who lives/grew up here.... What are your favourite PNE memories!!?!?

When I was seven I was finally tall enough to ride the "big kid" rides. After going on several others, I worked up the nerve to go on the roller coaster. One of my older cousins was with me and the moment we got to yhe top I went white as a sheet and froze with terror, so much so that the jolt of the rides nearly threw me out. Luckily, my cousin grabbed me and I came to my senses. I got used to the whole thing after that and had a blast. I went on three more times that day, each better than the last. It was a fun day

grade 7 field trip for the day.
my first go at the big boy roller coaster. sat beside a girl whom i had a mad crush with,
we rode it prob close to 10 times that day (light rain). held her hand now and again.
Fool in the Rain, eh?

Without a doubt the clickity clack wooden roller coaster. Sure there are bigger, faster and more modern coasters out there but every time I sit on the Vancouver Roller Coaster I feel like it was the first time I was on it when I was a kid.

On the midway, there is/was a shooting gallery where if you hit the target it would do something eg if you hit a frog it would jump. My fav target was the piano player because his target was on his butt. My family and/or friends would pump $20 each into it whenever we went and were in hog heaven.
