Harvey's at the airport. Its in the arrivals area and is one of the best deals there. There is always a line up of airport staff going out of there.

Anyone try the new Tim Horton's breakfast sandwiches yet? Yummy! It's got a folded scrambled egg with either sausage or bacon with cheese on a biscuit. The one I had was obviously made fresh as the cheese was still cool and the egg was still hot. Not greasy or dripping with butter either. Very tasty!

For fast-food breakfast, it will always be McDonald's Sausage & Egg McMuffin with hash browns and a tank of coffee. Only downside is that I pay for it later because the whole greasy mess is hell on my colon.

For a sit-down breako at a Smitty's or Denny's, it's hard to screw up an order of over-medium fried eggs, pancakes, bacon, toast and coffee so it's all good....well, except when the coffee is weak ditchwater.

A&W has this on lock. The Bacon Egger cannot be touched when it comes to breakfast. Nothing like heading to A&W for breakfast on Sunday morning at 8:30 for some breakfast and then heading back home for a days worth of football games.

Mark me down for a sausage mcmuffin as well (no egg). Nothing but tasty greasy goodness there. It pisses me off you can't get them for lunch and dinner too because every other sandwich at mcd's = BLS.

With all this talk about these high fat foods I have to wonder what the regs are in Vancouver area regarding trans-fat.

Just this week KFC announced that they would shortly eliminate all trans-fat from their chicken. That is what it is currently fried in. Will this apply up there also?

If so, look for less taste, but longer life. You win some and you lose some.

Also, New York City is considering the same ban. Considering how unhealthful trans-fat is to your arteries, is this the start of what is to come?

I wonder when they are going to breed trans-fat free chickens... ;)

I started eating those darn McD breakfast burritos because of this thread.. But I still like the Bacon Cheese Croissanwich and the french toast sticks at Burger King.

I saw a story on the news that said Canadian KFCs will eliminate trans fat in their food by early next year. There are also some proposed regulations to limit or ban trans fat in Canada. It's already happened in Denmark.

hashy mashy

I like the old tyme diner feeling. Hard to get nowadays since bino's has gone dodo. But anywhere that gives me real shredded hash browns (not that diced potato crap!), with soft or poached eggs drizzling over top, some rashers of Canadian bacon on the side, a couple of buttermilk flapjacks with butter and lots of syrup, mash it all up, add a cuppa joe and a waitress that never lets it hit bottom or the creamo to run below three, and we're talking B-R-E-A-K-F-A-S-T!!!! :)

But I will settle for starbucks and a pumpkin scone in a rush.
