My favorite restaurant ALWAYS & FOREVER is...

Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant Vancouver Restaurant
555 West Hastings Street
Vancouver BC, Canada
Phone: 604-669-2220

Love that restaurant!!! & Yes when you are w/the right person the earth MOVES ((giggle))

Can't beat the view... The ambience... & shhhhhhhhhhhhh... but you **can** stop the elevator for a mind-altering bj on the way up or down... ((but I did not tell you that))

Or go upstairs, "just" before it closes... for the Panoramic View... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, wonderful things can occur there too!!!

Sounds like fun, I looked on the net but can't find a website for the restaurant to checkout the menu. Is it typical of all restaurants with a view, i.e. the food isn't all that great?

Like Dufferin, I have favourites for different types of food:

Sushi - Kakemon
Seafood - Cannery
Thai - Salathai
Chinese Noodle House - Penny's
Chinese Takeout - Kent's Kitchen
Burgers - White Spot
Italian - Cafe de Medici (definitely not the place to go if your saving up for your next visit to an SP)

BKing and McPukes are my favs. I like simple things, I'll eat at a fancy place, but it won't be my fav because I wouldn't be going there often enough.

Aeiyah, you gotta find better places for chinese food.

LittleAsianGuy, we've got similar taste in food, Kirin is good (but menu doesn't change enough for dim sum). my list:

Seafood: Cannery (better value than C)
Italian: Quattro on 4th
Chinese: Sun Siu Wah
Dim Sum: Kirin / Victoria Chinese
Japanese: Ebei
Thai: Chili Club (closed)
Burgers: Vera's .......try the Doug special if you like chili, add mushrooms and an egg to it
Greek: Santorini
Casual: Milestones

I admit those places are grease dives, but I rarely eat Chinese food when I go out. My dad ran a Chinese restaurant for 40 years and knew a lot of the other people in the business. I learned how to make most of my favourite Cantonese-style dishes. When I go out to eat, I want to have something that I can't get at home.
